two busloads will transport the convicted terrorists from Ofer Prison, located north of Jerusalem, to the Erez and Tarqumiya checkpoints in the government-sanctioned release. Prior to their release, they will be identified and examined by representatives of the International Red Cross. The terrorists will not be required to sign a document stating they will not return to terrorist activities.====================

Dozens of buses from all over Israel to converge outside Ofer Prison, where terrorists will be freed.
| Twenty six Palestinian prisoners who are due to be released after midnight have been transported to Ofer prison. They were held in five different prisons in various parts of Isrel. Today they will leave in two seperate buses for the Tarkomiya and Erez crossings. They will undergo identity and medical checks by the International Red Cross. The 26 will not be required to sign a document stating they will not return to terrorism. The police have warned that there may be traffic disruptions along highway 443 near the Ofer prison. About 2,000 protestors, including bereaved families, demonstarted last night opposite the Ofer prison. Prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu said the decision to free the Palestinian prisoners was among the most difficult he took as rpime minister. Speaking at the Likud faction meeting the prime minsiter said there was no choice under existing circumstances. Once the government has taken a decision Netanyahu said all membes must act responsibily. Senior Palestinian officials have stressed that security prisoners from East Jerusalem and Israeli Arabs would be included in future prisoner releases. Palestinian prisoners minister Isa Karaka said that the third release would take place in December and the fourth in March.
