Robin,
Cue Scott Pelley: "Former acting [FBI] Director Andrew McCabe is about to describe behind-the-scenes chaos in 2017 after President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. In the days that followed, McCabe says that law enforcement officials discussed whether to secretly record a conversation with the President and whether Mr. Trump could be removed from office through invoking the 25th Amendment."
Well, there it is, right on 60 MINUTES: evidence of the "bloodless coup" that has seemed apparent for about two years to those paying attention. McCabe is being investigated for lying to his own FBI colleagues who were conducting a probe into media leaks, and he may be shading the truth about this as well, but we get a pretty good idea of what was going on at the FBI. These were people overstepping their bounds for the purpose of taking down the President of the United States.
Oh, but Pelley still made it about Trump, implying that Trump's behavior sparked this madness and asking McCabe, with deadly seriousness, "Are you saying that the President is in league with the Russians?" McCabe is a lifelong Republican, Pelley noted, who had "a sterling 21-year career at the FBI, serving as head of counterterrorism and number two under Comey." The implication: how could someone as reputable as this be caught up in misdeeds at the FBI unless he was driven to it by this President?

Pray for Aurora
By Mike Huckabee
Our prayers today are with the victims of a shooting Friday at the Henry Platt manufacturing company in Aurora, Illinois, and their families. It left five victims dead and five police officers in stable condition. The shooter had worked for the company for 15 years and was being terminated that day when he pulled out a gun and began firing.
Gun laws not enforced
By Mike Huckabee
Once again, this appears to be a case where multiple gun laws that could have prevented the deaths were broken or not enforced. The shooter obtained the gun despite having a prior felony assault conviction in Mississippi that should have blocked him from obtaining a gun, as well as six more recent arrests in Illinois. The shooting, like virtually every other mass shooting, also took place in a designated "gun-free zone." Nevertheless, I'm sure it will be argued that the solution to preventing future such attacks will lie in passing more laws.

RIP Pat Caddell
By Mike Huckabee
Deepest condolences and prayers today for the family of pollster Pat Caddell, who died Saturday at 68 after suffering a stroke. Caddell first came to notice as a Democratic pollster who helped Jimmy Carter get elected, but in recent years, he'd become a Fox News contributor and advised some Trump supporters.
Caddell was also a guest on my TBN TV show. He was a good man, a throwback to the time when people put facts and the good of America over the good of their party, and when people of differing political views showed respect for each other and engaged in actual debates to find solutions and common ground. Sadly, there seems to be little place for that in politics these days, but Pat Caddell set an excellent example for anyone who would like to return to a more sane and respectful style of politics.

Politics 101
By Mike Huckabee
Never introduce a radical new concept that you don't want your opponents to use against you. For instance, if you're going to declare some places to be "sanctuary counties" for criminal illegal immigrants where immigration laws don't apply, don't be surprised when a more conservative county comes up with the idea of declaring itself to be a "Second Amendment sanctuary" where gun control laws don't apply against people protecting themselves from criminals.
The only problem is that it should be unnecessary because the entire USA is already a "Second Amendment sanctuary." That's why the right to keep and bear arms is in the Second Amendment.
37 Hours
By Mike Huckabee
Last week, the Senate Intelligence Committee reported that after two years of interviewing witnesses and examining hundreds of thousands of documents, they've found no evidence that the Trump Presidential campaign colluded with Russia. So Newsbusters examined the NBC, CBS and ABC evening newscasts to see if they would give that story the same type of coverage they've given to Russian conspiracy theory stories over the past two years. Here's what they found:
Total number of minutes evening network newscasts have devoted to Trump-Russia collusion stories over the past two years: 2,202.
Number of minutes devoted to the Senate report of finding zero evidence of Trump-Russia collusion: zero.
FYI, 2,202 minutes is nearly 37 hours. When you talk for 37 straight hours with utmost seriousness about something that doesn't exist and ignore anyone who tries to tell you it's only fiction, that's not a newscast. It's a "Star Trek" convention.

"Blue State Model"
By Mike Huckabee
In recent years, New Yorkers have gotten used to seeing residents and businesses move out to escape the high taxes, heavy regulations, bureaucratic corruption, micromanagement and other crushing burdens of "progressive" blue state leftism.
https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/429623-americans-continue-their-march-to-low-tax-states
Still, this latest story must set a new speed record for high-tailing it out of New York.
Amazon had barely decided to locate its new headquarters in Queens when all the liberal politicians and activists swarmed like ants at a picnic, accusing the company of "greed" for accepting tax breaks to move in, demanding more pay and benefits for workers, and raising other typical leftist complaints. Seeing that this was going to be more trouble than it was worth, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said "thanks but no thanks" and pulled out of the deal, taking his $2.5 billion building project and 25,000 new jobs with him.

That's right: the "blue state model" in New York is so hostile to business that businesses are now fleeing New York before they even open there.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is already facing blowback over his inhuman abortion bill and sweating over a $2 billion+ drop in tax revenues is now saddled with the bad publicity from this debacle.

Meanwhile, leftwing activists such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are crowing about their victory in driving away Amazon. She tweeted, "Today was the day a group of dedicated, everyday New Yorkers and their neighbors defeated Amazon's corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world."
Actually, they didn't defeat his power. His power is that he can take his 25,000 jobs (which, incidentally, have a starting pay of $15 an hour, not below minimum wage, as she apparently believes) and put them anywhere he likes. And if New York's political and union environment is hostile to that, then other states would be more than happy to roll out the red carpet, which they probably bought on Amazon. As for AOC, let's hope she runs for reelection on a campaign slogan that highlights her two greatest achievements so far: "I brought you the Green New Deal and helped drive away 25,000 new jobs!"
It's no surprise that I've seen joke caps and other merchandise popping up online that read "MABA: Make Alexandra Bartend Again." With her kind of leadership, bartending jobs may be all that her constituents will be able to get.
