Dear Sir or Madam, I was excited to read the Mattot Arim report about achievements of Knesset Members and ministers. Many thanks for whatever you got done, whether alot or a little. I would love to hear about more and more of your achievements for the National Camp, in the media and in upcoming reports by Mattot Arim.

Yasher Koach to Uri Ariel for being the winner and the Ichud Leumi  party for being the party with the highest track record on behalf of Eretz Yisroel.  Likud came in second but they unfortunately are being led by a weak leader that goes against the platform he was elected on and against the wishes of most of the members of his own party.

As a religious Jew I was very disappointed in Shas and Yahadut Hatorah who scored poorly.

Song, One Day ..... Rosh Hashana greeting from Latma

bs"d

Latma is spoofing the Maccabeats in a gentle way.

When I first heard the Maccabeats sing this song in Central Park at the Israel Day concert,  it upset me.  Not because I am against Peace or dislike this song.  The opposite.  However, in todays world, "Let us go in Peace" really translates to let us empower terror.

Our goal is to go LeShalom, towards peace and not BeShalom, in peace. (Avshalom, Dovid Hamelech's son walked in peace which was actually a rebellion towards King David, the true king)

The Peace process is really going "BeShalom"  with peace which in reality empowers evil and terror.  Sometimes when we go towards peace we must talk of War.

Latma as well senses the blind naivite of those that sing this song and is warning us not to be fools. (Robin Ticker)

One Day Lyrics (Matisyahu's One Day Cover)

Sometimes I lay under the moon
And I thank God I'm breathin'
Then I pray don't take me soon
'Cause I am here for a reason

Sometimes in my tears I drown
But I never let it get me down
So when negativity surrounds
I know someday it'll all turn around because

All my life I been waitin' for
I been prayin' for, for the people to say
That we don't want to fight no more
They'll be no more wars
And our children will play, one day

It's not about win or lose 'cause we all lose
When they feed on the souls of the innocent blood
Drenched pavement keep on movin'
Though the waters stay ragin'

And in this life you may lose your way
It might drive you crazy
But don't let it phase you, no way

Sometimes in my tears I drown
But I never let it get me down
So when negativity surrounds
I know someday it'll all turn around because

All my life I been waitin' for
I been prayin' for, for the people to say
That we don't want to fight no more
They'll be no more wars
And our children will play, one day

One day this all will change
Treat people the same
Stop with the violence down with the hate
One day we'll all be free and proud
To be under the same sun
Singing songs of freedom like

One day, there will sanity in the world.  In the meantime, be strong, don't cave, know that we are watched from Above.  (Arlene Kushner)

Giving land for sake of Pikuach nefesh?
Rabbi Jonathan Blass
Question:
Shalom ,Would you kindly explain under what conditions [pikuach nefesh maybe] if any, does the Halacha obligates us to give our Land of Eretz Yisroel?
I vaguely remember once being told that if we know that "if even one person will be killed" we are obligated to liquidate the Land .

Answer:
Since there is an obligation even to go to war to liberate the Land of Israel (Ramban Mitzvot Asei 4) and to defend our sovereignty in our homeland (Rambam Hilchot M'lachim 5 1), "pikuach nefesh" of the individual does not release us from this obligation (see Minchat Chinuch 425 3). As you must realize, if what you recall being told were true, it would be impossible for the nation of Israel to have a Land at all. Even at the time of Joshua and King David maintaining our sovereignty required us to go to war and the lives of individuals were lost.

Fwd: From Women in Green. Stop Arab terror - Apply Israeli sovereignty! Shana Tova!

bs"d

Yasher Koach to Women In Green for being on the Front Line and for their cry of Jewish Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Kesiva VeChasima Tova!

Stop Arab terror on the roads -
Apply Israeli Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria

Tens of residents from Efrat, Gush Etzion, Kiryat Arba, Bet Shemesh
and Jerusalem answered the call by Women in Green and came last night
to protest against the increasing Arab terror on the roads of Judea
and Samaria.

After the murder of Asher Palmer and his son Yonatan, HY"D, we
expected the security forces to deal with the terror but
unfortunately, two nights ago, the Arabs tried once again to murder
Jews by drive-by rock throwing - smashing the front windshield of
Rabbi Yaron Durani from Nokdim. Only by miracle did Rabbi Durani come
out of this alive.

Tens of cars with activists patrolled the Efrat-Nokdim road. Arab
traffic was blocked. Huge traffic jams were created.

At the T-junction a small vigil was held in which Rabbi Durani spoke
and told the crowd exactly how the Arabs had attacked him. Rabbi
Durani demanded from the IDF to act with force: "a hand that throws
stones must be chopped off" said the Rabbi.

Additional speakers demanded from the IDF to act forcefully against
the Arab terrorist stone throwers, to reinstall the army checkpoints
and to apply Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. Israeli
sovereignty over Judea and Samaria will bring quiet to the area, it
will remedy the historic injustice and everybody will internalize the
fact that the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel.

The vigil ended with Rabbi Durani saying Tehillim and the hope that we
will not need to continue to patrol the roads.

Israeli sovereignty campaign

Parallel to the patrol campaign, hundreds of posters were put up by
Women in Green in the past days throughout Judea and Samaria and in
the Jerusalem area with the message:

"The coming year - Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria."

This is the continuation of the campaign by Women in Green calling for
the application of sovereignty that began this summer with a very well
attended conference held at the Machpela Visitors' Center in Hebron,
with the participation of MK's, scholars, and public figures.

The Oslo accords, thank G-d, have collapsed. The government of Israel
can, and must, take the historic, Zionist step of applying sovereignty
over Judea and Samaria.

The Women in Green movement believes that such an action will calm the
situation, lead to deterrence, and curb the Arabs' hopes that have
been fostered by the left, Europe, and America.

Today, it is clear to all - the Arabs want to destroy the entire State
of Israel. As former Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir said: "The sea is
the same sea, the Arabs are the same Arabs." The application of
Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria seeks to restore the
historical justice that the Land of Israel belongs to the people of
Israel.

The Women in Green movement wishes all its friends a Shana Tova. May
it be  that in the coming year Israeli sovereignty will be applied
over Judea and Samaria.

Shanah Tova - A Good Year!

Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar

Support the residents of the Shomron! Letter and appeal from Dovid HaIvri Executive Director of Shomron Liason Office Ketiva VeChatima Tova!

bs"d

Dear List, amv"sh

Having visited the Shomron, I know that the people there are at times holding on to our Land with their fingertips.  (like in Chavat Gilad where they do not receive electricity and water from the Government and Police shot with rubber bullets and expelled a family and  Migron where families were expelled quite brutally due to International Pressures under the orders of Barak).  Dovid Ha'Iivri, Executive Director of the Shomron Liason Office only focus's on growth and being positive which is the way it should be.

The Shomron is absolutely beautiful and is the high ground protecting areas like Tel Aviv.  Many communities are surrounded by hostile Arabs like Itamar who have experienced their share of Terror attacks as recently as the heinous terror attack on the Fogel Family and the attack on the Breslov Chasidim visiting Kever Yosef.  .

Those families living in the Shomron are proud and stubborn Jews who live the Torah as they believe it.  They live the promise that Eretz Yisroel is G-d given Land given to the Jews and that is why we must give them our support in whatever capacity we can.  Of course visiting the Shomron is the best way to see first hand the Mesiras Nefesh these people have and show our debt to them for protecting Eretz Yisroel and our ability to fly into Ben Gurion airport without fear of being shot at from a nearby hilltop.  In spite of all those that try to stop the growth in the Shomron and that includes the United Nations,  they have not succeeded Baruch Hashem!  This is miraculous and shows Hashem's love and protection to those who believe in Him and His Torah. Please read this upbeat report and appeal from Dovid Ha'Ivri Executive Director of the Shomron Liason Office working with Oshri David under the Samaria Regional Council Governor, Gershon Mesika.

Ketiva Vecfhatima, Shana Tova Umetuka.

David Ha'Ivri writes:

Wishing you and your family a very special and joyous New Year with many blessings from Israel.

While the international community is debating the future of Israel's heartland, Judea and Samaria, and those that hate Israel are plotting to take claim to our God given land. we, the communities of the Shomron (Hills of Ezekiel 36) are gearing up for Rosh Hashana and the period of Jewish holidays over the next three weeks.

Last night hundered of leaders of the Shomron communities gathered at "Yakir" to lift a glass of blessings for the Jewish New Year. Shomron region director Gershon Mesika was joined by Rabbi Elyakim Levanon and Minister of Education Gidon Sar. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/148211

Samaria Regional Council Governor, Gershon Mesika, informed the group of leaders of the great progress in the Shomron over this past year. We have become the fastest growing region in the country. The Jewish population in the Shomron is growing at the rate of 10% per year. Building of new classrooms and kindergartens are being constructed in all of our towns. We have held over 300 informational tours for elected world wide and Israel officials and media personalities.

Our own efforts in the international arena have showed amazing results - one example of which was Nigeria siding with Israel at the UN for the first time.http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/148200

With all of these developments and much more, we can not forget that with the Jewish Holidays upon us, there are families in the Shomron who are lacking the means to feed their families. We know that the strength and stability of the families of the Shomron are the backbone of our future here in Biblical Samaria. Those families with 8, 9 and 10 children are bringing up the next generation that will continue to
inherit and possess this prophetic land for the God and people of Israel.

The Shomron Regional Council has established a network for distributing fo packages to needy families for the holidays and throughout the year. The needy families are identified by the municipal social services department and the help is delivered in a discredit way so as not to embarrass the recipient families. The entire operation costs are covered by the Shomron Regional Council who's employees manage the campaign ether during their work load or after hours as volunteers and all office work and expenses are covered by the municipality.

For the upcoming holidays we will be assisting 600 needy families with food packages and grants of an average $200 - $300 per family.

I would like to ask your help with a donation that will go directly towards the needs of these families in the Shomron for the holidays.

Donations are accepted through Shuva Israel which is an American 501c3 tax deductible organization.
