"The Temple Mount" by a visionary

bs"d

Please read the following written by Rabbi Meir Kahana zt"l a true visionary about "The Temple Mount" liberated with the grace of G-d in 1967  "the greatest Jewish victory and miracle in 2500 years".

The following was sent to me by Israel Kaplan.  He entitled it "Bye Bye to the Temple Mount."

Israel Kaplan writes:

While in Israel this past Sukkot, I spent a considerable amount of time delving into the legal issues related to the Temple Mount.   Rabbi Jacob Richman of Temple Mount faithful sent around several urgent messages about the destruction by the arab wakf of the archeological & biblical findings.  Lower, higher and Supreme courts are constantly being petitioned but to no avail as they all end up in the Prime Ministers offices as final say.   The Prime Minister responds with a statement not to pursue any action over ownership as it would destabilize the delecate balance with the Arab population.  This response is consistent with all Israeli governments since 1967.   It would do all a great service to read the following article which is an excerpt from a book "Uncomfortable Questions for Comfortable Jews" published in 1987.

The Temple Mount
By Rabbi Meir Kahane, Zt"l
(from Uncomfortable Questions for Comfortable Jews, 1987)
It was the unforgettable, majestic, glorious day in June, 1967, as Jewish soldiers crashed through the walls of Jerusalem's old city. Redeeming, reclaiming, liberating the ancient streets and alleyways; racing towards the Wall, scaling it and then - the electrifying words of the Commander, Motta Gur: "The Temple is in our hands! The Temple Mount is in our hands!"
There was not a Jewish heart that did not pound with a sense of Divine, historic moment. There was not a Jewish spine, so straight and proud after two millenia of being supine, that did not shiver in a sense of awe. There was not a Jew, though the most extreme of scoffers, who, at that moment, did not see G-d!
"The Temple Mount is in our hands!" Jerusalem of Gold, of holiness, of David; Zion, out of which the L-rd roared and uttered his voice. The Temple Mount, from which the trumpet the Holy One, Blessed Be He, blasted. "When our fee within thy gates, O Jerusalem" - we wept with tears of disbelief. For the Temple Mount was in our hands. . . "As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the L-rd is round about people" - and we knew it to be true. For the Temple Mount in our hands. "Ye that stand in the courts of the House of G-d, praise the L-rd!" And we believed. For the Temple Mount in our hands!
Let me quote from a letter that appeared in the March 1979, issue of Maariv, Israel's largest newspaper. It was written by a rabbinical student at Yeshivat Merkaz Harav and is obligatory reading for all those who, for Zion's sake, will not be silent: "It was the Shabbat, when many Jews come to visit the Old City of Jerusalem. . . . Suddenly, after leaving one of the gates near the Temple Mount, the rioting began. Tens of Arabs, throwing stones and carrying knives and broken bottles, came at us. A storekeeper leaped upon me and I joined the others fleeing, as my hand bled profusely, eyeglasses left behind.
"How could it happen in the State of Israel today? Arab police are responsible for the safety of the East Jerusalem region. 'Autonomy' already exists when Arab police see Arabs throwing stones and nothing is done to arrest them. One who was arrested was a yeshiva student who kept calm and tried to help others. Before my very eyes, the police leaped upon him like wild beasts. This can serve to show us what we can expect in the future under `autonomy'... "
Jerusalem. Where in 1967, electric shocks of ecstasy, a national thrill of incredulity, swept the Jewish people throughout the world, as Israeli Jewish troops smashed into the Old City, sweeping terrified Arabs before them as chaff in the wind. Jerusalem, City of David, Jerusalem of the Temple Mount and Western Wall and Holy of Holies and Zion, was, once again, in Jewish hands - all of it, Jewish. By the tens of thousands Jews streamed through the alleyways of the Old City where just afew days before the Arabs had ruled and no Jew dared step. Now, the Arab - awed, shattered - groveled before the Jew whom he saw as being blessed by G-d and His miracles. Fear gripped the Arab in Jerusalem just as pride and confidence and certainty was the Jewish cloak in the wake of the awesome war of Six Days.
Jerusalem. Where, by 1986, less than 20 years later, Jews fear to go to the Wall by way of the Demascus Gate as Jews are stabbed and shot in the same marketplace and streets where a short time earlier they walked as Jewish giants on the earth. As night falls, only a handful of foolhardy Jews risk walking through what the Israelis allow to be called, still, the Moslem Quarter. No Harlem ever held greater fears for the Jew than parts of his own capital city. Nothing more underlines the obscenity of Jewish fears in their own capital than the picture report that appeared in the Jerusalem weekly, Kal Ha'Ir (August 4, 1984).
Three pictures; all taken in the Old City of Jerusalem. The first shows a hassidic Jew, surrounded by Arab youngsters, two of whom have snatched his hat from his head. The photo shows a policeman standing calmly by with obviously no intentions of intervening. He is, like the vast majority of police in the Old City, an Arab.
The second picture shows the Jew, watching helplessly as the Arabs taunt him. The Arab policeman has, by now, disappeared.
The third shows a large rock being thrown by an Arab youth at the Jew. It hit him in the head. Another day of Jewish pride in Jerusalem, Zion. The tragedy of Jewish glory turned into humiliation and fear by a Jewish policy that defies any normal logic and understanding.
Jerusalem, where the Jewish students on Mount Zion sign a petition of desperation, detailing not only sexual and criminal assaults on them by Arabs, but the cynical indifference and lack of any law enforcement by the local police - Arabs.
"We, the undersigned to this petition, are demanding security , for our lives and property. For the past ten years there have been ', thousands of incidents such as those outlined in this petition: Stabbings, rapes, attempted rapes, molestings, obscenities through indecent exposure, burglaries, vandalism. . . ." And the police do nothing. And Jerusalem becomes Arab autonomy. The tragedy of a Jewish policy that defies any normal logic and understanding.
A, Jewish policy? Say, rather a policy of Jews that was conceived in un-Jewishness and born in gentilized fear and timidity, a policy whose apex of humiliation is the desecration of Judaism's holiest site - The Temple Mount. The very moment of glorious Jewish victory in 1967 was the beginning of a flight to shame.
It began immediately after the greatest Jewish victory and miracle in 2500 years. The terrified and cowering Arabs of East Jerusalem were approached by the Defense Minister Moshe Dayan. Not enough that the Israeli government of 1967 committed the worst of mistakes by not driving out the Arabs who hated Israel and had tried to wipe her out. Not enough that in their fear of "world opinion," of what the Vatican and Islam might say, orders were given by the Israeli army to the liberators of the Old City not to use artillery to shell Arab positions lest they damage a single holy Moslem and Christian place (and how many Jewish soldiers died because of that policy!). The fearful and timid leaders of Israel immediately approached the heads of the Moslem community to assure them that the Temple Mount - the holiest of holiest of Jewish places - would remain in their hands. Jews were forbidden to enter there to pray, on their holiest site, a site stolen from them by invading Moslems who desecrated Judaism by building two mosques there. (And can one imagine the reaction of Moslems if Jews, conquering Mecca, built, on the holiest site of Islam - a synagogue?)
When in 1967, on the Fast of Tisha B'Av, the national day of mourning for the Jews, the anniversary of the destruction of both Temples, Army Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren and 50 Jews went to pray on the Temple Mount. Defense Minister Moshe Dayan ordered the commander of the Central Command to prevent any further action that might incite the Moslems: "Honored Rabbi," said the general, "if you will go up to the Mount again, I will be compelled to remove you by force." The following day the Ministerial Committee in charge of the holy places met and unanimously forbade Jewish prayer that had been set for the following Shabbat. That was the beginning of a humiliating Jewish policy that stunned no one more than the Moslems who could not believe the manifestation of Jewish madness they had just seen.
From that day, the government of Israel, in a remarkable exhibition of masochism, has paved the way for a total change in Moslem attitude. From a frightened, cowering population, they turned into a confident, arrogant, dangerous one. From people who feared the Jewish conqueror, they became throwers of stones, knife stabbers, and grenade and bomb throwers. Most of all, the Temple Mount became once again theirs, this time returned to them by two-legged lemmings of the Mosaic persuasion - and they grow ever more passionately convinced that time is on their side.
The government, police, courts have all had a hand in the shameful, tragic Jewish descent into humiliation. Already on April 15,1969, responding to an order nisi against Police Minister Shlomo Hillel (who later went on to become Knesset Speaker), the State Attorney explained that Jews should not be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount because "premature prayer" (sic) there would raise grave security and international political problems. The years that followed saw police again and again forceably remove Jews attempting to pray on their holy site. Moslems watched in growing amazement, and growing arrogance and boldness, as the Jew who wished to enter as a tourist with camera and jeans was freely allowed access but the same son of Abraham entering with prayer shawl and prayer book was banned!
(In the years when American synagogues sold tickets for pews at High Holiday services, a rueful joke told of the Jew rushing up to the door without a ticket and telling the guard that he only wished to tell something to someone inside. Said the guard: "Fine, but if I catch you praying, I'll throw you out." The joke is alive and well today on the Temple Mount.)
Then, in 1976, a lower Jerusalem court, through Judge Ruth Or, ruled that Jews have a right to pray on the Temple Mount, but Police Chief Hillel blithely announced that he would continue to bar Jews. (This contempt for law is apparently endemic with Hillel as, nearly ten years later, in his capacity as Speaker of the Knesset, he announced that he would refuse to table certain bills by Knesset Member Meir Kahane, despite a High Court order to do so.)
The government hastily appealed the lower court order and on July 1, 1976, the Jerusalem District Court overruled Judge Or in a fascinating display of ghettoism. The court ruled that Jews who ' attempted to pray "demonstratively" (sic) on the Temple Mount were guilty of behavior "likely to cause a breach of the peace." Jews had an unquestionable right to pray on the Temple Mount, but public order, ruled the court, overrules that right of prayer.
The decision was mindboggling, the product of thinking most Jews assumed had disappeared with the Warsaw Ghetto revolt. To state that Jews had a right to pray on their holiest site and then to declare that this should be prevented because of fear of Arab rioting, was a paean to the shtetl of Minsk, Pinsk or Casablanca. But not even this was enough for the Israeli government, which wished to remove the decision that Jews have a theoretical "right" to pray on the Temple Mount and an appeal was taken to the Supreme Court. Meantime, Interior Minister Dr. Joseph Burg (himself a leader of the National Religious Party) declared that "the law will be kept." (Translation: Jews will not be allowed to pray on their holiest site.)
The astonished Arabs saw that the Jews, far from meting out to them the punishment they deserved and that they had given to the Jews when they ruled the Old City, were allowing them to retain all the power and authority that they would use later to demand total autonomy and independence. The Temple Mount served as the most glaring example of the fact that, despite Jewish protestations to the contrary, the land taken in 1967 was not liberated but "conquered." The Jews had come not as returnees to their own borders, but as an occupation army. One who loses his property and then unexpectedly finds it does not allow it to remain in the possession of another. He leaps upon it joyfully and cries out: "It is mine!"
The Arabs correctly understood Jewish "concessions" to be the product, not of goodness and grace, but of timidity and fear. And so, from a cowering Arab, the Jews produced a sneering, openly hating, stick bearing, stone throwing, grenade tossing thing - a time bomb waiting to explode.
The newspapers described some of the events. In 1979, as a number of yeshiva students came up to the gate of the Temple Mount to pray (in front of and not on the Mount itself), they were showered with rocks. Soldiers hid behind cars because they had orders not to shoot, lest The New York Times and Time magazine feature them on their front pages. The head of the Central Command, General Moshe Levi, watched the mob. Levi, a member of the leftist Hashomer Hatzair kibbutz, was later to become Chief of Staff and won undying something-or-other with his statement during a speech in Tel Aviv (May 25, 1986): "To say that the Arabs are the enemy is simplistic and dangerous. For me the Arabs are not the enemy." When the Jew excels, he outdoes all others-especially in madness.
I return to the newspaper account of the Arab riot in 1979: "'Only in this state could such a picture emerge,''' a police officer said angrily, yesterday, at the sight of the commander of the Central Command, Moshe Levi, and the head of the police central region, who entered the Temple Mount to meet face-to-face with angry Arab youths.
"The general walked over and asked them why they were holding sticks in their hands[!]. But during the entire conversation not one of them backed down and not one dropped his stick. 'This is the real autonomy,' muttered the same officer."
Meanwhile, in 1980, the Knesset passed a new Jerusalem Law which declared in paragraph (3):
"The holy places shall be protected from any desecration or attack on anything likely to damage the rights of all members of religions to access to the holy places or their feelings concerning them."
This paragraph which clearly - to all but those who would refuse to see - outlined the absolute right of Jews to access to their holy places, now seemed to guarantee that the High Supreme Court of Israel would order the government to allow Jews, on their holiest site, the same right of prayer that they allowed Moslems who had stolen the site. But no, the ghetto-shtetl syndrome remained part of the Israeli genetic code, proving once again that it is far easier to remove the Jew from the Exile than the Exile from within the Jew. On October 30, 1981, the High Court of Israel ruled on the issue. The following is the UPI wire service report:
"Jerusalem (UPI)--The Supreme Court today upheld the right of Israeli police to keep Jewish worshippers from praying on the Temple Mount because it creates a threat to public order, Israel radio said."
A threat to public order. The Arabs might riot. Ah, if Meir Kahane were Prime Minister and the Arabs knew that the police had orders and full backing to use as much force as they desired to keep "public order" -is there one normal person who believes that there would be an Arab threat to public order?
Since then, the Arabs have systematically destroyed every vestige of Jewish presence on the Temple Mount, destroying valuable archeological evidence. A memorial to the Arabs killed at Sabra and Shatila is even placed on the Jewish holy site. The Temple Mount is on our hands!...
The lemmingism of the Israeli government is incredible! Who can count the ways? In February, 1985, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Sa'ad a-din Alamei, told the French news Agency:
"Any Moslem who will give up one inch of Palestinian land will lose without benefit of appeal, every attachment to Islam."
The Mufti, by declaring a ban on any Moslem who sold land or houses to Jews, was clearly guilty of sedition against the Jewish state. On February 26, 1985, I wrote to the Chief of Police asking that criminal proceedings be opened against the Mufti and personally filed a criminal charge with the police commander of Jerusalem's Old City. In my complaint I noted that if a Jew were to hand out flyers called on Jews not to buy from the Arabs of the Old City because they were enemies of Israel and pro-PLO, he would be arrested for sedition (indeed, a few months later, that is precisely what happened). On March 13, 1985, the office of the Chief of Police sent me the following reply:
"Your complaint has been investigated and it is clear that the material of the investigation does not indicate a criminal offense. Because of this, the police will not investigate the complaint."
The successor to the other Mufti who in the twenties and thirties led pogroms against the Jews of the Holy Land and who in 1942 met with Hitler to discuss the "final solution" for the Jews there, should have been given a Nobel Prize for extraordinary ability to keep from bursting into hysterical laughter. And, indeed, the Moslem religious leader has good reason to believe that Jews are mentally limited.
When the PLO conference was held in Amman, Jordan, in November 1984, one of the telegrams sent to Arafat was from the Jerusalem Mufti. It read: "From Al-Aksa mosque (on the Temple Mount) we emphasize our support of your Council and renew our oath of loyalty to the man of struggle Yasir Arafat. . . . Continue forward on your path, we are with you."
When the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel in January, 1986, called for a synagogue in the southeast part of the Temple Mount, Mufti Alamei declared: "Over the bodies of a million Moslems."
The Israeli reaction? Timid and fearful silence, lest the Arabs, Moslems and world react. And so, a mentally unbalanced Jew, Alan Goodman, shoots and kills two Arabs on the Temple Mount declaring that he wishes to liberate the spot and "become king of the Jews." Some thirteen years earlier, a Christian, Dennis Michael Rohan, set fire to the Al Aksa mosque. The Israeli court declared the Christian not criminally liable by reason of insanity. Yet Goodman, clearly unbalanced, received a life sentence plus two terms of 20 years. Once upon a time, in the Exile, the Jews would decide every major step by the proposition: What will the gentiles say? Then they created Israel, where Jews would be sovereign and free. . . . Laugh not, but rather weep for generations.
Jerusalem. Where the Palestinian autonomy and eventual state is being built. Jerusalem, which mirrors so much of the other desecration that fills the land. The Temple Mount is not in our hands. East Jerusalem is not in our hands. Judea and Samaria and Gaza and the Golan are not in our hands. The Biblical Eretz Yisrael which we liberated through G-d's decree in 1967, is not in our hands.
"On Mount Zion which is desolate, there the foxes walk. . . (Lamentations 5).
The Temple Mount is in their hands, the foxes, the cunning Arab foxes. And the words of Motta Gur ring hollowly - and it is we who are to blame. We, who took a miracle and disdained it. We, who took holiness and profaned it. We, who were given a Zion, a Jerusalem, a Temple Mount - and gave it over to the jackal-foxes.
What we see today is a mini-renewal of Arab rioting, murder and pogrom of the twenties and thirties. Then, the Arab mobs surged into the streets shouting, "Addowlah ma'anah" ("The government is with us!"). They meant the British Mandatory occupation government. Today, the Arabs know that the Jewish "occupation" government, because of its fear of world opinion, has given strict orders to soldiers not to shoot. In that sense it has opened the door to Arab boldness and contempt and attacks on Jews. In that sense the Jewish government of occupation is also "with" them. The Arabs have smashed the dam of fear and it will spill over. If Jews are attacked on their way to the Wall, and if a Jew is seriously hurt, or, G-d forbid, murdered, and if the residents of the Jewish Quarter are in increasing danger-know that it is the Jews who are to blame.
He who controls the Temple Mount will control Jerusalem. And he who controls Jerusalem will control the Holy Land. And the desecration of the Land and of G-d is inconceivable. One shakes his head in utter incomprehensibility when reading the words uttered by Menachem Begin in 1977:
"If I become the Prime Minister, I will open the Temple Mount to Jews. I will not fear the reactions of the Christians and Moslems. "
Begin became the Prime Minister. The Temple Mount is still in Arab hands.

PA official: Olmert lying about Temple Mount

Israeli PM claims holy site not up for talks, but Palestinians say he has already agreed to forfeiture

Aaron Klein, WND
Published:  11.29.07, 18:25 / Israel News

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's statements on Wednesday that Israel's sovereignty over the Temple Mount is not up for negotiation are "false," according to a chief Palestinian negotiator, who told WND the Israeli leader already agreed to forfeit Judaism's holiest site to a coalition of Arab countries.

"What Olmert said (regarding the Mount) is absolutely false. I think he's not yet ready to tell the Israeli public and is waiting for the right time and he fears his coalition with religious extremists will fall apart if he announces it now," said a senior Palestinian negotiator Thursady on condition his name be withheld.

The chief Palestinian negotiator said in months leading up to Annapolis the Palestinian team was "surprised" by Olmert's willingness to give up the Mount.

"We had intense debates on many topics, which remain open and unsettled, but the Harem Al-Sharif (Temple Mount) is not a sticking point. The Israelis didn't argue with us. We were pleasantly surprised Olmert didn't debate about giving the lower section of the Mount either, which was a sticking point in the past."

According to the chief Palestinian negotiator, Olmert agreed to evacuate the Mount but not to turn it over to the Palestinians alone. The negotiator said both sides agreed the Temple Mount would be given to joint Egypt, Jordan and Palestinian Authority control.

He said the Israeli government felt an umbrella group of several Arab countries controlling the holy site instead of only the PA would help ease Israeli domestic opposition to giving up the Temple Mount, since Egypt and Jordan are considered by Israeli policy to be moderate countries.

'Talks will address all issues'

The Palestinian negotiator pointed out Israeli prime ministers previously denied withdrawal plans only to later carry them out. Former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, elected on a platform against evacuating territory, denied for his first year in office he would retreat from the Gaza Strip but in 2005 he carried out a Gaza withdrawal.

In a briefing to reporters yesterday, Olmert claimed Israel's sovereignty over the Temple Mount is not up for discussion. He said negotiations started at this week's Annapolis summit had no bearing on the situation on the Temple Mount.

At the start of Tuesday's summit, President Bush read a joint declaration agreed to by Olmert and PA President Mahmoud Abbas committing the two to launch immediate negotiations aimed at "two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side."

The parties said they would aim to conclude an agreement before Bush leaves office next year, with Israel widely expected to evacuate large swaths of the West Bank and speculation about eastern sections of Jerusalem, handing Abbas the strategic territories. Israel recaptured the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, in 1967.

"The negotiations will address all of the issues which we have thus far avoided dealing with," said Olmert on Tuesday. "I am convinced that the reality that emerged in our region in 1967 will change significantly. I know this. Many of my people know this. We are prepared for it."

The New Jewish Congress and The Yeshiva World

bs"d

The Yeshiva World News posted news about the Agudah Convention and Agudah's statement regarding Annapolis.  I posted a comment on Yeshiva World News addressing some of their comments to Agudah's response.  My comment is now subject to review by the website.  I hope it gets posted.  In any case this is what I wrote. http://theyeshivaworld.com/news/General+News/12165/contact.php

I referred to the New Jewish Congress that took place in Yerushalayim the same day as the summit in Annapolis.  Read about it on Arutz7.

Faigerayzel's comment to the readers of Yeshiva World News:

If we truly have the yearning and desire to keep the Mitzvoth of the Torah we would say as follows.  Finally after 2000 years, Hashem has given us the gift of Eretz Yisroel.  We can now do many Mitzvoth that we were unable to keep before we became a Sovereign nation.  For example we are now able to keep the Mitzvah of Shemittah.  Rav Eliashiv and the Beth Medrash LeTorath Eretz Yisroel, specifically deal with Mitzvoth Teluyot Baaretz.  Did this Beth Medrash exist before there were specific halachic questions from religious farmers living in Eretz Yisroel?  Rav Eliashiv has given a psak against Heter Mechira which is a symbolic selling of the Land.  Yet there is silence regarding actually giving away Land in Yehuda and Shomron at the Annapolis summit.  That seems very inconsistent.  Surely if one truly wishes to keep the Mitzva of Shemittah and we know what blessings of peace and security are promised, then surely the Rabbanim would boldly say that only Am Yisroel has the mandate to keep the Mitzvtoh for the blessings of all mankind.  The Land belongs to the Creator of the World.  Am Yisroel is the rightful stewards of the Land since only we have the mandate to keep he Mitzvoth that are dependant to the Land.  In the Shemittah year we clearly show that the Land is not ours to give away.  It belongs to Hashem.  And we, as Hashem's chosen people, are obligated to keep the commandments, for the benefit of mankind.  We are obligated to let the fields lie fallow and to release our loans.  Will a nice democratic, peace loving Palestinian State have any mandate or inclination to keep these commandments?  The Land of Israel is called the Promised Land.  It is also called the Holy Land by the Nations of the world.  These names clearly portray an accurate picture.  G-d promised the Land of Israel to the Nation of Israel..  The Blessings of mankind will be actualized by sanctifying the Land with holiness by the Nation of Israel by keeping the Mitzvoth.

Lawman613.  We have been in Galus much too long.  We don't see that Hashem has given us a historic opportunity to actually keep Mitzvoth in Eretz Yisroel something denied to us for 2000 years.  Yet we refuse to believe that we can actually leave the Galus if we only had the desire or yearning.

Let us unite in our desire to now make Eretz Yisroel a place that is governed by Torah and Mitzvoth with a Sanhedrin.  Please visit a post on Arutz7 of the New Jewish Congress that is working precisely in that direction. Hop aboard and let us say "Shir Hamaalos Beshuv HAshem et Shivas Zion Hayinu Kecholmim".  Eretz Yisroel is relevant to our time and our generation.  Our Torah is relevant to our time and generation.  Our dreams of Yerushalyim and Zion and Eretz Yisroel can finally be made into our reality. The only thing that is missing is our desires and yearning to make it happen by the majority of caring Jews.  I believe Moshiach is waiting for Am Yisroel to say "We want Eretz Yisroel, We claim Eretz Yisroel, We want to keep the Mitzvoth of Eretz Yisroel"  The entire Torah and all the Mitzvoth of the Torah reach their ultimate only in Eretz Yisroel. All of Sefer Devarim, also called Mishneh Torah is Moshe's instruction about how we can live in Eretz Yisroel.  Hashem took us out of Mitzraim not to stay in the desert.  The whole purpose of the Torah is to observe it in Eretz Yisroel with a Beth HAmikdosh.  True the Beit Hamikdosh is not yet built but let us think of ourselves as the Jews coming out of the desert.  First they had to conquer the Land and drive out the Avoda Zara.  There was no King from Beis Dovid initially.  There was Yehoshua, Shoftim and Shmuel.  The poeple asked for king to quickly.  We must start the process and then Moshiach will find us worthy.  Claiming Eretz Yisroel as our own is the first step.

Re: Annapolis What is the Coordinating Council on Jerusalem doing?

In response to my question to the Coordinating Council on Jerusalem about what they are doing to protest the Annapolis summit I get this response.

My comments:

I would guess that membership of Afsi compared to the memberships of the big organizations on the Coordinating Council such as the Young Israel and the OU is miniscule. The Young Israel and the OU each have networks that reach hundreds if not thousands of Rabbi's and members.   Did the Coalition form simply to neutralize any activism against Annapolis?  Hoorah (also known as HU RA) because you may have succeeded!   People figure that of course you are acting on their behalf.  Meanwhile effectively, other than AFSI the CCJER is silent.  That's because the CCJER is only about Jerusalem and not protesting ANNAPOLIS and a 2 State Solution, (Chas Vechalila, Chas Veshalom).  SHAME ON YOU!  All the Arab Countries with the UN and the USA are uniting to effectively wipe Israel off the map and you along with  Agudath Yisroel of America choose  to be SiLENT while the Nations of the World are talking about giving away Judea and Samaria. If G-d forbid they try to implement their evil plans will you then express how you share the pain of your brethren in Judea and Samaria just as everyone expressed their horror and pain about witnessing the expulsion of Gush Katif?  Will you raise money to memorialize the beautiful communities in Yesha that once was?  Will you raise money for the poor Jews that became refugees from Judea and Samaria?  HOW WILL YOU RESPOND THEN?   HOW WILL YOU LIVE WITH YOUR CONSCIENCE?  WILL YOU SAY I BELIEVED G-D WOULD SEND A MIRACLE as did the Jews from Gush Katif? WAKE UP because Sederot is not faring that well.  Maybe had they realized earlier that the expulsion from Gush Katif would directly hit them as well they would have been a bit more proactive.

Where is the Torah Voice?

bs"d
Dear Agudath Yisroel, Rabbi Lerner, and other esteemed Rabbanim, amv"sh
Is Agudath Yisroel or other esteemed Rabbanim or CCJER ( Coordinating Council of Jerusalem) www.ccjer.com going to Annapolis to protest? If so do they have a permit to speak? I know that Coalition to Defend Jerusalem (Bob Kunst's organization) has a permit and will be speaking and has speakers lined up. Afsi has a permit but I believe does not have speaking permits. My question is whether anyone will be speaking for CCJER and if so will it be under the umbrella of the Coalition to Defend Jerusalem or jointly or separately or at all. A very major concern of ours is whether the Torah message will be voiced or heard at all. Will anyone broadcast the Torah message that the entire world belongs to Hashem and Hashem promised the Land of Israel which includes Judea and Samaria, to the Nation of Israel and we are obligated to keep the commandments. (first Rashi of Breishit/Genesis) Will there be a voice that loudly voices opposition to a STATE OF PALESTINE, G-d Forbid? Bob Kunst, to his credit, in spite of all his other agendas, such as Hillary Clinton, Shalom International and Gay Activism, has been promoting and sponsoring any form of protest that is being organized against Annapolis and against the possibility of a repeat of a future holocaust. See below the post on his website hillarynow.com. I wonder if Bob Kunst and company would welcome a speaker that would clearly speak the Torah perspective even though the Torah perspective is not one that welcomes his personal lifestyle. Is Shalom International, the organization for which he is president ,the same as the Shalom International that is missionary? Proselytizing is also clearly against the Torah beliefs in ONE G-d. Is Hillary Clinton, whose husband Bill Clinton, spearheaded Oslo, really serious about protesting the State of Palestine G-d forbid or is she simply willing to protest an undivided Jerusalem and a Republican initiative but personally has no objection to allow the State of Palestine to become established G-d forbid. If this is the case, then is Bob Kunst still active in her campaign as the website http://hillarynow.com seems to indicate. Will the Coalition to Defend Jerusalem clearly come out against the establishment of a Palestinian State in spite of Hillary's support of Oslo. Would the Coalition to Defend Jerusalem welcome a speaker that spoke the position of Torah which is also clearly against Annapolis Summit, against the Roadmap and against Oslo and against the rise of a terror state similar to Nazi Germany.
Is the Coalition to Defend Jerusalem the only forum with a permit to speak. Apparently they plan to attract a large media group to publicize their protest. Isn't it important that the words of Torah at least have the same coverage? Will anyone out there, any Torah personality say that Annapolis is bad because it is in direct contradiction with the Torah Roadmap? Will any Torah personality speak about the Covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Creating a State of Palestine takes away any possibility of keeping the commandments of the Torah dependant on the land such as Shemittah and therefore we lose our ability to earn our blessings of peace and prosperity for the people of Israel and all of mankind.
Not making any statement regarding the Torah is a BIG CHILLUL HASHEM! Isn't it important that the Torah voice be heard on National Radio and TV and on all networks and print media? Who and How will the Torah Voice be heard? Lmaan Zion Lo Echesha. For Zion's sake I will not be Silent! If the Torah's voice is not heard than other voices will be heard and, is there any wonder why there is a problem of Identity theft, the identity of the Nation of Israel is being taken away from us because we have yet to assert our voice?
Please visit the following link to see the voice of Bob Kunst President of Shalom International, the strongest voice that there is so far for the opposition to the Annapolis summit.

Yesha Supporters stay pure like the Maccabees. Warning from Ruth Matar

bs"d

We must be extremely careful to keep that jug of oil pure untainted. Our fight for Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem must be true to Torah every step of the way.  We can not risk even for a little bit for the sake of being popular or successful  to align ourselves with those whose message may sound good but upon investigation promotes agendas that is against the Torah and wish to use our alliance to further their own agendas which are contrary to ours.  Hashem is all powerful and we need to ally ourselves with His Torah. If we align with such powerful forces under their umbrella we run the risk of having our own message diluted. If they wish to promote our agenda publicly we should remain distinct rather than get  swallowed up. Mr. X apparently has no compunctions about using his constituencies.  He will promote himself to Israel activist groups as being an Israel activist and says he is against territorial concessions.  He knows that this is what we wish to hear so then we will then join with him under his umbrella.  He will then promote to his Christian Evangelicals supporters that he wishes to promote J as the savior telling THEM what they wish to hear in order to get their support.

The following was taken from the website of Shalom International.  This is not being told to the Jewish activists obviously.

THE REFUSAL TO COMPROMISE

Frank and the Shalom team were straight in their declaring to Jewish leadership: "We will love and stand by you unconditionally. But we can never compromise our conviction that Jesus is the source of this love and the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world." Many Jewish leaders applauded the first part—but distanced themselves when there would be no compromise concerning Jesus. Yet many Jewish friends quietly applauded a ministry that could not be bought.

------------

Ruth Matar in the following letter shows how he was deceitful in order to win her support.  He told me and her and countless others that he is not part of Hillary Clinton's campaign yet he is still actively campaigning with Hillary. He is a politician. Read Yedidya Atlas' article below regarding Hillary Clinton's rush to support a Palestinian State yet she will fight for Jerusalem in order  to win her votes against Bush.

When we stay true to Torah we are protected from being used and abused.

I APOLOGIZE
(for being gullible)

Letter from Ruth Matar (Women in Green) Jerusalem
Thursday, November 22, 2007

Dear Friends,

In my latest Letter from Jerusalem, of Sunday, November 18th, I issued a warning asking you to carefully investigate the sponsors of any demonstration against the Annapolis Conference before joining.

I wrote as follows:

"In this connection I must issue a very important warning. Investigate the sponsors of any planned demonstration in Annapolis very carefully before joining. For instance, it has come to my attention that some organizations which are not working completely in Israel's interest, (no names mentioned), are possibly trying to recruit people for their own agendas. One organization that asked Women in Green to join them in their demonstration, turned out to be affiliated with the Hillary Clinton Campaign and the promotion of gay rights in the US."

I received mostly supportive e-mails, but a few responses were from people who were incensed at my warning.

I do NOT apologize for issuing the warning.

However, I do apologize profusely for not immediately recognizing the incredible deceit attempted upon us. As for my mentioning the organization's association with the struggle for gay rights-- it is neither my business, nor any interest of Women in Green.

I feel the need to share the details of the almost successful "sting" on Women in Green by a nameless organization, headed by a nameless "Mr. X", which brought me to issue a most necessary warning.

THE BACKGROUND:

I received an e-mail on Nov. 4, with the subject: "Defend Jerusalem" Rallies. "Mr. X" wrote as follows:

Dear Ruth Mater: (my name is Matar…)

Please consider doing your teach-in and be at our Rally in front of the White House on 11/25/07 and also to let your list know of our efforts.

We need your help to get the word out.

Thanks in Shalom,

Signed (Mr. X)
Organization X
Phone number

I was pleased to get this e-mail, especially since Mr. X wrote that he had already obtained a permit for a demonstration on November 25, 2007, from noon to 5 PM, at Lafayette Park across from the White House in Washington D.C.

As he requested, I phoned Mr. X at the number he gave in his e-mail, to tell him that I unfortunately could not be in the United States on the date in question, but that Women in Green in the United States might be interested in participating in this November 25 rally, especially since he had already obtained a permit.

However, I told Mr. X that I was not familiar with his work, or that of his organization, and that I needed to know more about both before I could make a commitment for the Women in Green. I stressed that we could work together only if we were 100% certain that we are on the same political wavelength, namely that the Land of Israel is the Biblical Inheritance of the Jewish People, and that no parts of Jerusalem or Israel can be bartered away at the Annapolis Conference.

This is where the incredible deceit of Mr. X comes into play. He assured me that this was exactly his point of view, and that we were completely on the same wavelength. I agreed, therefore, to alert our people in the United States about the November 25 rally in Washington, DC. I even foolishly gave Mr. X the phone numbers of some of our key people in the States.

Shortly thereafter, I received a great number of phone calls and emails from Women in Green supporters in the United States, who demanded to know how I could be so naive and careless as to suggest joining forces with Mr. X without knowing his true orientation. This orientation, they said, is diametrically opposed to that of Women in Green.

They informed me that Mr. X is closely identified with the Hillary Clinton for President campaign, and that he was apparently trying to hitch a ride on the popularity of the Women in Green organization in the United States.

After receiving this information, I again phoned Mr. X and accused him of not being up front with me, since by no means could I be considered to be an admirer nor a supporter of Hillary Clinton. I bluntly told Mr. X that I felt he had been rather deceitful with our organization. I warned him that under no circumstances should he dare to make use of the name of Women in Green nor the names of Ruth or Nadia Matar.

Incredibly, he told me to calm down, that in his opinion no harm had been done, since he himself is no longer as active in the Hillary Clinton campaign as he had been heretofore. He even had the effrontery to tell me that there was, therefore, no reason to end the cooperation we had discussed in our first phone conversation.

I now know from further study of the Internet, that he is as prominent as ever in the Hillary Clinton campaign. I found the following letter from Mr. X to a Ms. Y on the Internet, dated November 11, 2007, just a few days ago:

"Hillary has dropped 11 points since the Philly debate. It's been two weeks of bad news getting worse. I'm organizing the following rallies to keep Jerusalem united, which Hillary already made a statement on in Sept. This would be an opportunity for her to support keeping Jerusalem united with us at our rally in D.C. or Annapolis, bring the media and put yourself in the middle of the Summit that Bush/Rice/Olmert are pushing that only endanger Israel and the U.S.

Please let me know,
Mr. X"

This exchange between Mr. X and Ms. Y clearly proves that there is more concern with Hillary's campaign than the danger faced by Jerusalem and Israel at the Annapolis Conference!

Women in Green have not as yet chosen to support any candidate for President in the 2008 elections. However, I can say with iron-clad certainty that Women in Green will not support the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.

Why am I so adamantly opposed to Hillary Clinton as President of the United States?

Personally, I will never forget or forgive Hillary Clinton for her relationship with Yasser Arafat's wife, Suha. At a conference in November of 1999, while on a state visit to the Middle East, Hillary Clinton sat by silently while Suha publicly told vicious lies about the Jewish People. When Suha ended her poisonous tirade, Hillary Clinton jumped up to hug and kiss her.

When she was subsequently criticized for this bizarre behavior, Hillary Clinton said she was unable to understand the translation into English of Suha's speech, due to malfunction of her ear phones, or some such nonsense!

The following is an article entitled: "ISRAEL'S FRIEND OR FOE?" about Hillary Clinton, by Yedidya Atlas. This article from November 7, 2000, article details what Hillary "Terrorist Enabler" Clinton did that showed who she really is. Here is something that you should never forget about her.

ISRAEL'S FRIEND OR FOE?
by Yedidya Atlas Nov. 7 '00 / Heshvan 9, 5761

Tomorrow, American-Jewish voters will make their decision whether to cast their ballot in New York's Senate race for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, or for Republican candidate Rep. Rick Lazio. If Israel's security is a deciding factor in their considerations, then a review of their respective positions BEFORE they became candidates and began running after the key Jewish voting bloc reveals basic differences between the two.

WHAT DID THEY SAY BEFORE?
An in-depth study of Congressman Rick Lazio's eight-year track record voting in the House of Representatives on issues related to Israel shows that he has been a 100% supporter of Israel. A member of the Republican Israel Caucus and a member of the House Budget Committee, Lazio has been a consistent supporter of foreign aid bills and the continuation of US aid to Israel. He has also been an outspoken supporter of American recognition of Jerusalem as the undivided Capital of Israel ¬ including signing a Congressional letter to the President urging the transfer of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, and not signing a Congressional letter calling on the President to pressure Israel to stop construction of Jerusalem's Har Homa neighborhood. Lazio has also co-sponsored two pieces of legislation that call for official U.S. recognition and construction of an embassy in Jerusalem. If Israel is the issue, then his record - which is on the record - speaks for itself.

HILLARY RUSHED TO SUPPORT PALESTINIAN STATE
And Hillary Rodham-Clinton? Well, in May 1998, she told a youth conference on Middle East peace in Villars, Switzerland, that she supports the eventual creation of an independent Palestinian state. Her spokesperson, Marsha Berry told reporters: "These remarks are her own personal view." Then, in November 1999, while on a purported State visit to the Middle East, she publicly appeared with Yasser Arafat's wife Suha. With Hillary at her side, Suha Arafat made the deliberately false allegation that "Our [Palestinian] people have been submitted to the daily and intensive use of poisonous gas by the Israeli forces, which has led to an increase in cancer cases among women and children." Mrs. Arafat also accused Israel of contaminating much of the water sources used by Palestinians with "chemical materials" and poisoning Palestinian women and children with toxic gases.

Instead of reacting with outrage, Hillary Clinton sat by silently - and gave her a hug and a kiss when she finished speaking. Later, many hours after the event, and only after a media furor put her on the spot for what many view as a bit more than a mere political "faux pas", Mrs. Clinton called on "all sides" to refrain from "inflammatory rhetoric and baseless accusations" - including Israel, whose leaders made no such accusations. Glossing over this remarkably repugnant affair, Mrs. Clinton has yet to specifically contradict and denounce the monstrous lies uttered by Yasser Arafat's wife in her presence.

MONEY FROM THE AMERICAN MUSLIM ALLIANCE
Hence, it is no wonder that the American Muslim Alliance chapter in Massachusetts held what it called a "successful fundraiser" for First Lady Hillary Clinton at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston on June 13, 2000. AMA Massachusetts Chair Tahir Ali said afterwards, "We are attempting to send an important message to all AMA chapters: we must support all who have [Muslim] interests at heart, regardless of what part of the country they are running in."

EMERSON'S TESTIMONY
According to Steve Emerson, a well-known investigative journalist specializing in militant Islamic organizations, the AMA's leaders "have sanctioned terrorism, published anti-Semitic statements, and repeatedly hosted conferences that were forums for denunciations of Jews and exhortations to wage jihad." Faced with pressure on the matter, Mrs. Clinton announced on Oct. 25th that she was returning the $50,000 in campaign contributions raised for her by the AMA. She failed to give a credible explanation as to why it took her more than four months ¬ from June 13th until October 25th ¬ until she saw it necessary to return the money.

Mr. Emerson, in a recent Wall Street Journal article, noted: "As first lady, Mrs. Clinton began in 1996 an outreach program to Muslim leaders in the U.S. With America's Muslim population at some six million and growing, an effort to include the community's leaders in the mainstream of American politics is unquestionably a worthy undertaking. But curiously, nearly all of the leaders with whom Mrs. Clinton elected to meet came from Islamic fundamentalist organizations. A review of the statements, publications and conferences of the groups Mrs. Clinton embraced shows unambiguously that they have long advocated or justified violence. By meeting with these groups, the first lady lent them legitimacy as "mainstream" and "moderate"."

But this should not be unexpected, considering Mrs. Clinton's past radical affiliations. During the 1980's, ultra-liberal lawyer Hillary Rodham-Clinton served on the board of the New World Foundation, which funneled money to the Palestine Liberation Organization, at a time when the PLO was officially recognized by the United States as a terrorist organization.

Similarly, in February 1996, Hillary hosted a reception at the White House for leaders of Hamas-supporting groups such as the American Muslim Council and the Council on American-Islamic Relations. And in January, 1998, Hillary hosted another White House reception honoring Muslim leaders and the Muslim Public Affairs Council who defended militant Islamic fundamentalism and also supported radical Islamic groups.

THE REAL HILLARY
This, then, is the real Hillary Rodham-Clinton. An ambitious woman willing to utter any banal cliche on behalf of "Israel's security" to placate unaware New York Jewish voters, but one whose pre-Senate race record on Israel is appalling. It's a record of supporting the terrorist PLO, even before the 1993 signing of the first Oslo Agreement on the White House lawn, of ignoring blatant calumny heaped on Israel by Suha Arafat, of supporting the creation of a Palestinian PLO State, of hosting and legitimizing extremist Islamic groups in the United States. Most recently, it included taking campaign contributions from these very same evil, anti-Semitic organizations - until being caught with her hand in the extremist Islamic cookie jar. This is the very same Hillary Rodham-Clinton who now claims to be Israel's friend.

Her record says otherwise.

* * * *

Dear friends, the Jewish state is in greater danger than in any time since the 1948 War of Independence. May G-d help us to be successful in our fight against the gang rape of Israel by its many powerful enemies.

With Blessings and Love for Israel,

Ruth Matar
