Rabbi YY Jacobson וְאַתֶּ֥ם עֵדַ֛י נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֖ה וַֽאֲנִי־אֵֽל: Parshat Mishpatim. My comments

אל המקום אשר...
Lichvod Rabbi Jacobson Shlita
I was very inspired by your video that was posted on one of my whatsapp chats on Parshat Mishpatim and especially your point that Hashem needs us, Am Yisroel, to testify for Him.
Rabbi Jacobson: Parsha Mishpatim - Being a false witness is unique to any other sin, Part 2 of 3*
Isaiah 43:12
וְאַתֶּ֥ם עֵדַ֛י נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֖ה וַֽאֲנִי־אֵֽל:
My thoughts:
If the Nation of israel is required to be G-d's witness, it follows that its leaders and by extension, the Nation, needs to publicly testify that The Land of Israel belongs to G-d and that Hashem Alone, designates and has Chosen and entered into a Covenant with Israel exclusively. Israel has the sole rights of ownership of the Land if israel and has been Chosen to be the caretaker of the Land of Israel, keeping it's commandments, whose boundaries are delineated in the Torah.
Who if not us must testify and bear witness that Har HaBayit, Judea and Samaria does not belong to the Government of the State of Israel, aka GOI, nor to PM Netanyahu nor Bennett nor to former President Trump and/or his Orthodox Jewish advisors. No one, can give away something they do not own. Any attempt to do so is null and void. A Palestinian State therefore is not on the negotiating table and can never be an option. This is consistent with the MGH Resolution at Marienbad in 1937.
Another example:
Amiram ben Uliel's forced confession for the Duma arson is Halachically null and void since according to Halacha one can not testify against oneself and there was no other witness to implicate him.
Will a fair trial and investigation of the entire Duma affair implicate higher up's who sanctioned torture to hilltop youth under the false premise that they are terrorist ticking time bombs?
A third example:
We need to insist that Ahuvia Sandek's murder be investigated. The Tik, the investigation, can not be closed unless the evidence and testimony, the full picture, of what really happened that night, to a young Hilltop Youth allowed to bleed to death after a police chase comes to light.
Will such an investigation implicate higher up's as well? Why the cover up? How can similar situations be prevented in the future?
אל תעמד על דם רעיך
All three scenarios are really stemming from the same root mainly that the Land of Israel belongs to G-d. We testify this by keeping the Laws of Shemittah. Our rights to the Land of Israel is dependent on the Nation of Israels willingness to be a Jewish State and observe Hashems commandments on the Land.
It is very plausible that Duma arson and Ahuvia Sandak's murder were politically motivated and a politically necessity by an evil regime.
Hilltop youth need to be demonized and blood libeled and are simply pawns used by political forces to justify the position that Israel is simply a State for Jews no different than any State. If Jewish Terrorism exists, nurtured by the Settlement movement then destroying Jewish Settlement is then justified and giving away land in the heartland of Eretz Yisroel to non Jewish Authority for political payback is therefore an option and permissable.
The root of the matter is a refusal to acknowledge that Israel is a Jewish State bound by G-d's laws our H-ly Torah.
Towards this end, the Hilltop Youth and all Torah observers and believers who stand for Jewish Sovereignty and Torah Sovereignty in Eretz Yisroel, and those who proclaim Hashem as King, need to be discredited by anti G-d forces. That is the root of the matter at the Kotel as well. The fringe Reform and Conservative Jewish movements are legitimized as authentic groups in spite of their rejection of thousands of years of determining Jewish law, and specifically in redefining Who is a Jew thereby creating disunity and conflict.
It's a package deal. Hilltop Youth need us to testify on their behalf...on Hashem's behalf on the Settlers behalf and on the Torah's behalf .
Our Torah can not be mere lip service and nice Shiurim without Halacha leMaaseh.
Up in Shamayim isn't one who could have testified and didn't Chayav bidei Shamayim?
Grama?
If Agudah can issue a petition and proclamation about the Kosel, surely they can also proclaim that any political agreement granting rights of Sovereignty for Palestinians is null and void. The life sentences of Amiram ben Uliel and the recent decision to close the investigation against the police responsible for the murder of Ahuvia Sandek is a travesty of Justice.
The recent struggle to respect the status quo and keep the Kotel under the Jurisdiction of traditional religious authority would then be hopefully resolved because what is happening at the Kotel is a mere symptom of our collective failure to testify on G-ds behalf.
When we as a Nation are truthful Aidim for Hashem, BEH the people will respect the rulings of the Rabbinic Leadership as being authentic and Emes.
Not to speak is to speak.
Hashem is waiting and needs our testimony.
Bracha VeHatzlacha

Translated excerpts from Rabbi Yisachar Shlomo Teichtal's book "Eim HaBanim Semeicha".
TORAH GIANT ADMITS HE WAS WRONG!
The author of the book, "Eim HaBanim Semeichah," Rabbi Yisachar Shlomo Teichtal, was killed in the Holocaust.
A noted Rosh Yeshiva and Av Beit Din, he was one of the leaders of the Ultra-Orthodox community in Europe and a vehement anti-Zionist until the events of the Holocaust revolutionized his way of thinking. Realizing that the purpose of the unspeakable persecution and slaughter was to arouse the Jewish People to return to Eretz Yisrael, he publicly admitted the error of his former beliefs and vowed to write a scholarly treatise proving that the obligation to live in the Land of Israel applied in all times.
Hiding from the Nazis in an attic in Budapest, without any books at his disposal to aid him, he wrote his powerful argument, quoting hundreds of long Torah sources by heart. Rabbi Teichtal died on a train on the way to the Mathausen concentration camp in 1945. His book, however, was kept safely hidden with a Gentile family and rescued by his children after the war.
Regarding the dire anti-Zionists, including notable Torah Scholars and Hasidic leaders, who vehemently opposed Jewish immigration to Eretz Yisrael, even in the face of the horrors of the Holocaust, Rabbi Teichtal writes:
"Those who make personal calculations concerning this matter will not see the truth and will not concede to our words. All of the evidence in the world will not affect them, for they are smitten with blindness, and their inner biases cause them to deny even things which are as clear as day. Who amongst them is greater than the Spies? The Torah testifies that the Spies in the wilderness were distinguished, righteous individuals. Nonetheless, since they were influenced by their desire for authority, they rejected the Cherished Land, and led others astray, causing this bitter Exile, as our Sages explain. Yehoshua and Calev began to argue with them and attempted to prove the authenticity of Moshe and his Torah. Moshe's two loyal disciples proclaimed, 'Let us ascend at once!' They even brought lengthy arguments and proofs to show that Israel would succeed in conquering the Land, as Rashi states. Nevertheless, they were unable to convince their adversaries, for the Spies were prejudiced by hidden motives.
"The same holds true in our times, even among Rabbis, Rebbes, and Hasidim. This one has a good rabbinical position; this one is an established Admore, and this one has a profitable business or factory, or a prestigious job which provides great satisfaction. They are afraid that their status will decline if they go to Eretz Yisrael, as the Ramcal explains in Chapter 19 of 'Mesillat Yesharim.' People of this sort are influenced by their deep-rooted, selfish motives to such an extent that they themselves do not realize that their prejudice speaks on their behalf. People of this sort will not be convinced to accept the truth, even if they are shown thousands of proofs from the Torah. This is what foiled the attempts of Yehoshua and Calev to disprove the evil advice of the Spies."
On a deeper, more Kabbalistic level, Rabbi Teichtal explains how even learned Torah scholars can be caught in the sin of discouraging aliyah to Israel. He quotes the brilliant and renowned scholar, the holy Rabbi Eliyahu of Greidetz, who wrote: "Human intellect dictates that we initiate the process of redeeming the Land of Israel, and then Hashem will complete it. One must understand the great importance of this matter, for the evil forces, the kelipot, gain strength even among the most righteous individuals, in order to nullify this great good. This is the case because the entire strength of the kelipot depends on the Exile. When the exile dissolves, so will the kelipah, as the Talmud states in tractate Sukkah."
Rabbi Teichtal continues: "This holy Jew, Rabbi Eliyahu of Greidetz, whom the author of the 'Nefech Chayah' calls 'The holy rabbi who resembles an angel of the L-rd of Hosts,' states explicitly that the reason there are tzaddikim who oppose this matter is because the kelipot have become strong within them. It entices them to nullify this great matter for which the Holy One Blessed Be He constantly longs. He longs for us to return to our forefathers' inheritance, for every Jew has an obligation to strive to return to our Holy Land, as I will prove unequivocally from the words of our Sages. In this way, we can bring the final Redemption closer, speedily in our days, Amen.
"The essential point is that Hashem is waiting for us to take the initiative, to yearn and long for the return to Eretz Yisrael. He does not want us to wait for Him to bring us there. When we, of our own volition, truly and with all of our strength, desire and strive to return to the Land, then G-d will bring our work to a successful end."
Rabbi Teichel explains that since the sin of the Spies was perpetrated by the leaders of the generation, in order to rectify their sin, today's Diaspora Rabbis and leaders must rally their congregations and constituents to come on Aliyah. They must all speak out in a clear voice that the time has come to bid farewell to foreign lands and come home to the Land of Israel.
Rabbi Teichtal writes:
"Furthermore, my brother, know that in order to rectify our ancestors' sin, everything must be exactly as it was then. At that time, the leaders of the congregation spread evil propaganda against Eretz Yisrael. Therefore today, as well, the leaders of the congregation must propagandize for the sake of Eretz Yisrael in order to pay off their 'bad debt.' They must be the first ones to open the eyes of the nation. They must explain that there is no reason for us to remain in the impure and spiritually polluted atmosphere of the Diaspora, nor to expend our energies in vain while the Gentiles rob the fruits of our labor from before our very eyes. The Jewish leaders must speak to the people in this fashion and arouse within them a fire and a spark of love for our desirable Land. This alone will make us worthy of Redemption.
"This follows the words of our mentor, the Or HaChaim. He writes that Israel's leaders throughout the generations will be held responsible for the fact that we are still in Exile, because they should have inspired the Jews to love Eretz Yisrael. The leaders of the generation must inspire the Jewish People to help bring the Redemption closer by using the natural means that G-d has prepared for us. We are not worthy enough for it to occur with manifest miracles, rather only with miracles disguised in seemingly natural events, as in the days of Cyrus.
"I know that the humble ones who separate themselves from the building effort do so for the sake of Heaven. They fear that they and their children may be harmed by joining people whose ways have strayed from the path of the Torah. Behold, we can say about such people that although their intentions are acceptable, their actions are not, for many reasons. But first of all, the prophet Yeshayahu said to King Chizkiyah, 'Do as you are commanded! Why do you involve yourself with the Merciful One's hidden matters?' The same applies here. All Jews must be united in order to fulfill the positive commandment of the Torah to settle and build the Land. This cannot be accomplished individually. Therefore, do as you are commanded! Furthermore, no harm will come to a Jew who participates in this great and exceedingly lofty mitzvah. On the contrary, if a large number of Orthodox Jews join in, they will enhance the sanctity of the Land, as I previously cited in the name of the holy Rebbe of Gur and the Ramban. Since we are commanded to build the Land and raise it from the dust, it is forbidden to be overly pious and undermine this endeavor, G-d forbid. Rather, we must build together with whomever it may be and concentrate on enhancing the sanctity of the Land. Then Hashem will assist us.
"I have already cited our great and holy Sages who say that the light of Mashiach will shine when we build and cherish the Land. We must do precisely this and completely ignore the claims of today's pious ones.' We must cherish our Holy Land and sacrifice ourselves for it. This way, we will cause the light of Mashiach to shine forth, with G-d's help, speedily in our days. Amen.
Rabbi Teichtel concludes:
"In summation, anyone who has a brain in his head and truly believes in Hashem and His Land will let no claim in the world stop him from elevating the pride of our Land. The arguments of those who try to prevent people from building the Land are the arguments of Satan and his associates, may the Merciful One protect us from their viewpoints. This is even truer today after all that we have been through. Where are all of the Torah centers of Poland, Lithuania, and Hungary? Do we still have a portion and an inheritance here? Are we not considered strangers by the inhabitants of these lands? They have devoured our money, our bodies, and our spirituality. Thus, any intelligent and G-d fearing person will realize that there is nothing more to search for here in Exile. The time has come for all of us to return to the possession of our Forefathers. This is true and clear in accordance with the truth of the Torah, and anyone who denies it denies the truth and the Torah."

אנחנו נלחמים לא רק על דמו, אלא על דמי ישראל כולם. נעשה כל שנוכל כדי שבננו יהיה ההרוג האחרון מאלימות משטרתית ומשנאת חינם.

I was at Chomesh by Shalom Pollack's
https://www.facebook.com/100000611013340/posts/4859718164058503/?sfnsn=mo
I was at Chomesh
Yesterday, December 23, 2021, I went to Chomesh.
What is there?
Why did I go?
What did I see?
What were my thoughts?
Yehudah Dimentman, twenty-five years old was murdered by Arabs on his way home from the yeshiva where he learned in Chomesh, a hilltop in Samaria.
Why was he killed? The Arabs proudly claim it is because he is a settler, part of the occupation of the "Palestinian " Homeland
Chomesh was once a dynamic Jewish community strategically overlooking the coastal plain, until 2005 when prime minister Sharon ordered it and three other flourishing Jewish towns nearby be demolished and its population forcefully expelled. No reason for the destruction and expulsions in Samaria were given but the same decree that extinguished the communities firmly ordered that they never be rebuilt. (Sounds like an edict of a Roman emperor after the destruction of the temple?)
Yehudah Dimentman was not only a criminal by Arab definition; Israeli law considers him and those studying Torah amongst the debris of Chomesh criminals as well.
Why did I go?
The widow of the murdered young man, left with a baby, begged prime minister Bennet to please lift the ban on rebuilding Chomesh and at least the yeshiva where her husband studied, prayed, and was murdered, be allowed to exist. After the seven-day mourning period, she asked that "Am Yisroel" join her in remembering her husband and in supporting the rebuilding of Chomesh and the yeshiva.
When she asked that "Am Yisroel" join her, I understood that Am Yisroel indeed had to be there that day. We could not disappoint her or ourselves as Am Yisroel.
There is a saying," if it hurts you scream out". it did hurt. The murder hurt, the widow hurt, and the situation that allowed these tragedies hurt the most. I had to be there with the finest of Am Yisroel, and that is who I met.
What did I see?
I saw the finest that we have. I expected to because whenever Jews or the land of Israel are in danger, the same section of the population shows up.
It was a cold rainy day but that did not stop over fifteen thousand Jews from coming from far and wide.
Most were teens, boys, and girls. Some carried flags. There was a powerful spirit emanating from the wonderful youth. There was no flirting or intermingling; so different from what one would expect to find when thousands of teens gather This was part of their education and discipline. They came for a serious reason and they understood.
There were also a number of young families with children in tow and babies in their arms and in carriages.
I was amazed at how these parents managed. We walked long distances up and down to reach our destination on top of the hill.
There were also a few older people like me. I was reminded of my years as the many young people flitted by me on our way up the hill. On our way, we passed an Arab village. How did I know it was an Arab village? One; there were no fences or security measures to protect them. unlike Jewish villages who need protection. Two, the garbage was strewn all about. You would think if they really thought it was their land, they would have some pride in it.
On our way up the road, there was a large pit recently dug out across the road by the government to prevent the return to Chomesh by the stubborn yeshiva students and former residents.
A young man with a megaphone stood above the pit to warn people of the obstacle in the dark and urged us to fill the hole up with rocks to undo the work of those who would keep the place "Judenrein"
I was impressed by the vigor and leadership of this young Jewish man.
The rain became stronger. Huge puddles were formed. There were only a few umbrellas. Nothing deterred them or dampened the spirits.
It was impressive
What did I see?
I saw the best.
It was a great honor to march with them
My thoughts?
I know that I have seen the future leaders of Israel.
I watched the soldiers and police who guarded the procession. I wondered what they thought of the n of Jews who care enough to march in the rain up a hill?
I thought of the neighboring Arabs. What did they think of the Jews who don't give up?
I felt good to know that I was on the right side of history.
This morning at the gym, I mentioned that I was at Chomesh yesterday. One fellow clearly wasn't impressed and sneered and said something to the effect of, ``Oh those people"
I said, ``Yes, our very best. The ones who still have faith. The roots that make sure this tree doesn't fall."
He wasn't impressed and said, "in the end, you will be the only ones in the country," I thought that was a very revealing statement. What I think he meant was that those people with their fanatic beliefs will make things so bad that normal Israelis like him will (continue to) leave the country. This fellow went for a holiday to Greece on Yom Kippur. He has his Jewish values right.
As former prime minister Olmert said, "I want a country that is fun to live in."
What's the point of our holy land if you can't have fun?
I get it.
That is why only a certain kind of Jew marches in the rain - even if it is not so much fun.
I told him yes, that is a possibility we might be the only ones left.
Perhaps we are experiencing a historic process of elimination. Not everyone will have the merit to be here when the story ends.
My book, "Jews, Israelis, and Arabs" explains it all.
