Dear AFSI Friends:
Our fearless and beloved AFSI leader, Helen Freedman, will undergo a serious operation on Tuesday, August 28th.
Traditionally, Jews have recited Tehilim -- Psalms -- at such important times to ask God to extend His protection for the person for whom we pray.
May we ask you to choose any number of psalms -- it's up to you, there are 150 -- to recite on Helen's behalf. Her Hebrew name is Hinke bat Chana. We pray that Helen will be able -- along with Judy -- to guide AFSI for years to come.
When we told Helen about this plan, she wrote: "Dearest friends, I am grateful to you and all those who will pray for me as I enter this new challenge in my life. I am greatly strengthened by your love and concern. Many, many thanks."
