June 26, 2008
Shabbat Shalom! Though I try to send out only one email a day. this email will be sent out today instead of tomorrow. Kol Tuv,
This is a collection of insights from members of Ait Laasot, do4israel, activists who speak out with clarity for Eretz Yisroel. and their dismay at major Jewish Organizations/MEDIA who do not speak out with clarity.

1. AIT LAASOT! Statements of Belief with Clarity.
This Land is G-d's, G-d gave this Land to Israel.
The World is Blessed When the Jews Keep the Commandments in Eretz Yisroel.
The 2 State Solution and Land for Peace negates G-d's Covenant with Israel.
The Land of Israel only Produces for it's Rightful Owner, the People of Israel.
The Roadmap, Land for Peace, the Gaza Disengagement was/is a Disaster. Let's cut our losses and start anew!
The Torah Roadmap is the only authentic Roadmap.
Let's start anew with a New US/Israel Policy based on G-d's Covenant/Promise to Israel.
Only Am Yisroel can fulfill the Commandments in Eretz Yisroel.
Each and every Jew Has an Inheritance in Eretz Yisroel.
Each of us can help settle Eretz Yisroel and be a partner in Yishuv Haaretz.
Mitzvah of Pidyon Shvuyim is not a political Statement

40 Nations Pledge $242 Million to help aid and abet "Palestinian" terrorists
Certainly with the terrorist groups Hamas and/or Fatah in charge, these funds will not go toward the stated purpose, but rather, toward more war and bloodshed with the Jewish people. -The JIDF

Representatives of some 40 nations attended Tuesday's event devoted to planning for an independent "Palestinian" state dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
3. Jewish Media and Jewish Organization Watch - Ask the OU
ASk the ou! is it kosher? to support a two state solution
Is it kosher to be part of our organization that supports a two state solution?
'We answer to a higher Authority not the ou'
1)The Torah gave the Jewish People the Land of Israel, therefore the OUR claim that
it represents a orthodox view is ridiculous
2)The Torah put a great emphasizes on the survival of life and it is of uttermost importance
that even the shabbat could be desecrated to save a life (so what is the ou real agenda $$$$$$$$$$
or leftist backing)what other agendas could come first? don't be fooled by the wording by N.D. from the ou
(It is now a proven fact that the giving back of land causes loss of life)
3)According to international Law as Professor Eli Hertz has written in 'This Land Is MY Land'
the Jews have clear entitlement to land of israel.
4)The ou and anybody that claims to represent or lead the Jewish must answer to GOD and The
Jewish people and the world
4. Jewish Media and Jewish Organization Watch - Ask the Yated
Shame on you, Yated for your editorial of Sinas Chinam
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/126603
The hareidi-religious newspaper Yated Ne'eman published a scathing editorial attacking not only the rabbi's ruling, but the entire settlement movement to boot. "We must remember that the settlements were born in sin," the paper wrote, "and they were established only to transmit a nationalistic message of provocation and taunting of the nations and, like the first Zionists, 'taking our destiny into our hands.'"
"It has now become clear," the paper continued, "that one sin leads to another... and some of them [the religious-Zionists] have now decided that the settlements must be built even on the holy Sabbath... This grave phenomenon reminds us once again that the 'nationalist religion' continues to break down barriers amidst a distorted scale of values according to which, nationalist and Zionist values take precedence over the entire Torah."
Dear Yated, amv"sh
It is your editorial that is a blatant distortion of our Torah. Eretz Yisroel is Keneged the entire Torah. Shabbat is Keneged the entire Torah. It says Es Shabsosai Tishmoru in plural which also includes, Shabbat Haaretz. How can the editors of the Yated explain how they will keep Shabbat Haaretz w/o the Land? Do they really believe that giving the Land away to the Palestinians is the proper spirit of Shabbat Haaretz? How do they explain the first Rashi of Braishit? How do they explain the Covenant that Hashem Promised to the Avot as an eternal Covenant for all generations? How do they explain all of the points of clarity mentioned in statement 1 above. It is their distortion of the Torah that wishes to pick and choose the Mitzvoth of the Torah when they eliminate Eretz Yisroel from the Torah. They deny the Nissim Geluyim, open miracles of our generation following the Holocaust in our return to Eretz Yisroel.
If the Torah Leaders would have jumped on the opportunity to instruct all their followers to Eretz Yisroel rather than stay in Eastern Europe, we would have by now had a Torah State rather than the memory of 6,000,000 Jews.
According to Dr. Michael Berenbaum, former director of the research institute attached to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, 50-70% of those murdered by the Nazis "were traditionally religious Jews." Not only were six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, but an entire thousand-year culture of Torah learning was destroyed. Only the Mirrer Yeshiva, of all the great pre-War yeshivos, survived nearly intact.
(Mishpacha 2006)
It's just too bad they didn't make Aliya when they had the opportunity. Isn't it misplaced humility not recognizing their inherent strengths to overpower with love of Torah and with reason and with Siata Dishmaya the chilonim.
Now is the time to be Metaken the Chait Hamiraglim and state like we do in bentching Nodeh lecha Hashem Elokein Al Shehinchalta Laavoseinu Eretz Chemda Tova Urechava that this a Good Land and we will possess her and keep her Mitzvoth!
And even if they do not like the psak that one can allow the non Jew to build on SHabbos , have they come out with a Psak against Gezel, stealing ones property, destroying ones parnassa, bashing young unarmed kids and adults on the heads with no provocation whatsoever as in Amona? What is the point of learning all the Gemorrahs regarding property rights if they are silent when there is blatant chillul Hashem in this area? How about all the Mitzvoth Dorayta that were violated during the disengagement and what about the 200,000 Jews to be expelled from Judea and Samaria or the security risks that will chas vechalilia model those in Sderot after the disengagement aka expulsion that will even affect yes, Bnei Brak and other Chareidi communities?
5. Jewish Media and Jewish Organization Watch - Ask the ZOA
From an undisclosed anonymous source who was at the ZOA conference today in Washington DC June, 25, 2008. The following question was asked. "Should we bring up the 2 State Solution when we lobby our congressmen?" The answer given by ZOA organizers was not to mention the 2 State Solution but rather to speak about Iran. A follow update question was "Isn't ZOA a Zionist organization???? How can you not speak out against a Palestinian State and still claim to be a Zionist.
Does the ZOA represent our yearning and desire for Zion or simply wishes to be the one of the players in the Lion's den, not remembering that they are the sheep. Our only hope for Salvation is in Hakakosh Baruch hu and not in our involvement in the world arena of politics devoid of G-d's wishes and desires for the Jewish people. Let ZOA first proclaim the words of our Holy Torah and G-d's promise to our forefathers and speak out with clarity against the 2 State Solution. Let the ZOA reflect upon our holy commandments that bring the blessings and promises for peace and then and only then will their lobbying in Washington carry weight and significance.

Shalom Gentlemen,

The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government's liquidation sale of Israel's strategic assets opened officially this week. Iran's proxies have pounced on the merchandise. Please click on the link above to read the entire article.
2. Heart wrenching appeal from Tsfat.
(Dear Friends: Please read the urgent appeal below. If you can send a donation, that would be appreciated. Most importantly, you can help us by sharing this email with newspapers, bulletins, mailing lists, etc. Please ask your friends and organizations help to broadcast this information. This would be of immeasurable help to us. Thank you.)
IMAGINATION
Imagination is fun but it's not reality. The volunteers at Lev U'Neshama in Tzfat, Israel want our imagined situations to become reality. We would like to imagine, and have it actualized, that every day, every Tzfat mother had the ability to prepare nutritious meals for her family because the family had sufficient funds to purchase food. Sadly the reality is starkly otherwise. About half of our population has difficulty buying their family's basic food needs.
A Tzfat grandmother was grateful for her food delivery that came in time for her to fill the request of a visiting grandson who asked for an apple. Imagine not having an apple in the house nor anything else to offer him.
A young mother reached into her vegetable bin and there was nothing there with which to make a salad for dinner and little else in the cupboards. The next day her food delivery arrived and her children were so excited to find the boxes at their door, that they called their mother at work to tell her the good news. Imagine the happiness at dinner that night that included a fresh vegetable salad.
Another young mother said that the food deliveries always seem to come at the time when she had nothing in the cupboards and that the food assistance not only brought nourishment but it brought peace into her home. Imagine the strife that was averted between husband and wife and their frustration of not having sufficient food to quell the hunger of their young, growing children.
For the past six years, donations from compassionate supporters around the world have funded Lev U'Neshama's Food Fund. Presently we are assisting 144 needy families (over 1,100 individuals from children to the aged) with a monthly food box consisting mainly of fruits and vegetables. Lev U'Neshama has helped thousands of people through its various programs but now our Food Fund - our main focus - is in danger of closing.
Donations from abroad have dramatically dropped due to stressed economies. We have only sufficient funds for two more months, (July and August). This means that families will be at risk. In some families, both parents are working - but salaries may be many months in arrears. In others only one parent works while many others are not able to find any employment. We don't want to imagine their disappointment if our food program is cancelled but this will be a reality unless donations are received. Donations don't have to be large (although that would be appreciated), but lots of small ones add up, too. At the present exchange rate, it costs $30 to sponsor one family for one month. Lev U'Neshama's monthly grocery bill for these 144 families is $4,320. Please take a moment to imagine that your cupboards are empty and there is nothing to give your family.
Please help in any way that you can to make certain that these families, who must, unfortunately, depend on all of us, will continue to receive food assistance.
Lev U'Neshama is a non-profit organization and all our programs are carried out by volunteers. This means that all donations go to the designated project. Unlike other charity organizations that do their work in Tzfat for the benefit of families based on a specific affiliation, Lev U'Neshama stands alone in helping all Jewish families in Tzfat, regardless of their level of observance or affiliation with any religious group.
Donors in the US and Canada can receive tax receipts. Here is how.
In the USA: Make your check payable to: To Save A Life. Then send the check to: To Save A Life 16405 Equestrian Lane, Rockville, MD. 20855. Please indicate that your donation is for Lev U'Neshama, Tzfat. By using the following website, you can make a credit card donation. (www.tsal.org)
In Canada: Make your check payable to: B'nai Torah Charity Fund. Then send the check and a note indicating that the donation is for Lev U'Neshama, Tzfat to: Congregation B'nai Torah, 465 Patricia Avenue, Willowdale, Ontario M2R 2N1
(Either of the above organizations will send you a receipt and Lev U'Neshama will send a thank you letter when your donation is received.)
If you don't need a tax receipt, make your check payable to Lev U'Neshama and send it to: Lev U'Neshama, c/o Smolensky, PO Box 6432, Tzfat 13229 Israel. Checks are exchanged for shekels and put to work immediately. For more information about Lev U'Neshama, please visit our website: www.levuneshama.org
Thank you for helping make it a reality that desperate families in Tzfat will continue to receive much needed assistance.
With best wishes and appreciation,
Rabbi Yisroel Rottenberg, Director
Rena Dvorkin Cohen, Moshe and Yaffa Smolensky, Yosef and Faga Weiss, Volunteers.

Gush Katif Families Face Yet Another Eviction
by Hillel Fendel
(IsraelNN.com) Home construction for three expelled Gush Katif communities has begun in three locations - but many other families are now in an even worse situation than they were after the expulsion. Some of the latter, living in Kibbutz Or HaNer and nearby Miflasim, have been told they must leave by August 15.
First the good news: Eight families in Nitzan - the site of the largest concentration of families expelled by the Sharon-Mofaz government from Gush Katif nearly three years ago in the Gaza Disengagement plan - have finally begun building their new, permanent homes. Though the government promised, three years ago, speedy housing solutions for the nearly 1,700 dislocated families, including the rebuilding of the tight-knit communities in new locations, these promises remain nearly entirely unfulfilled.
Dror Vanunu of the Gush Katif Residents Committee reports that Nitzan's families hail mostly from N'vei Dekalim, the largest community in Gush Katif. About 210 of them plan, in the first stage, to rebuild their destroyed homes in the nearby established community of Nitzan, and well over another 100 plan to join them in the second stage. Work on the first handful of houses began last week.
"It's a welcome start," Vanunu told IsraelNationalNews, "but the fact is that about 25% of the families can simply not afford to build. This is because of the low compensation they received in the first place, and because of the fact that the price of building has increased greatly." He added that the construction cost index of three years ago, when the compensation rates were set, is much lower than it is now, and that a court suit demanding linkage to the current rates is being considered.
"The fact is that if the government had not dragged its feet and caused so many delays, construction could have begun earlier, when the prices were closer to what they originally were," Vanunu said.
In Yad Mordechai and Ashkelon, too, groups of former Gush Katif communities have also begun building their houses.
Other Families: Thrown Out, Nowhere to Go
However, most Gush Katif families are still out of luck, not sure where and when their permanent houses will ever be built. Some have even received yet another set of "get out" orders.
The Barda family, for instance, from the former northern Gaza community of Elei Sinai, signed an agreement with the government over three years ago - even before the Disengagement - together with many of their neighbors. Despite this, and despite the three years that have passed, no work at all has begun for their new houses. Not only that, but the Bardas and other families have been told that they must leave the temporary house in which they currently live.
As if that was not enough, they have also been informed that the agreement they signed to build their homes in Talmei Yafeh (5 kilometers southeast of Ashkelon, 10 kms north of Sderot) has expired, as it was signed three years ago!
The Knesset Audit Committee discussed the matter last week, called on the Israel Lands Authority to solve the problem immediately, and scheduled a follow-up meeting for two weeks from now.
One Mother's Story
Mrs. Sigal Barda, mother of three, has written up her harrowing story. Excerpts:
"We lived in Elei Sinai for 15 years, and after the expulsion, we moved with a group of other families to the temporary-housing site in Or HaNer [near Sderot]. We belonged to that [very small] group of families who, despite our absolute opposition to the Disengagement, decided to cooperate with the State and to plan ahead [i.e., consent to leave their houses with no struggle - ed.] in order to minimize the damage and speed up the rebuilding process.
"But looking backwards, we now see how naive we were to think this way, and how much fury it arouses today! We never thought for a moment that we would meet up with such difficult bureacracy and lack of understanding by the State towards law-abiding citizens whose world suddenly collapsed upon them one bright day - through no fault of their own.
"Three years later, we still live in temporary quarters with no hope in sight, struggling every day with Kassam rockets fired upon us directly from the ruins of our homes. We pray and hope that someone will wake up and decide to end our suffering. We have fulfilled our part of the agreement - but what about the State?
Kibbutz Receives House, Family Must Leave
"On Israel's 60th Independence Day, we received from the Kibbutz [Or HanNer] a letter instructing us to leave our caravilla [pre-fab home, designed to last ten years, of the kind allotted to all the expelled families - ed.] by August 15th [the 3rd anniversary of the Disengagement]. Is there no limit to the chutzpah?! I was thrown out of my house and the Kibbutz received a caravilla - and now I have to leave it, to who knows where, in favor of a Kibbutz member?! Where are we to go?!
"I am ashamed to look my children [who objected to our early agreement] in the eye. I promised them a quick rehabilitation, at the price of a quiet and passive departure from our home. But they knew then what I understand only now!
'Don't We Deserve Better?'
"Even if I wanted to rent a house independently [without the rest of my community which we are trying to sustain], the State is allotting us only 2,050 shekels a month [enough for an average apartment building residence, Vanunu said - ed.]. This, after they threw us out of our 160-square-meter (1,722 square feet) house in Elei Sinai and we now live in 90 square meters (970 sq. ft.). Don't we deserve to live, after three years, in something better than that - especially in light of the long way off we still are from our permanent home?!
"We are in total despair, disappointment, and loss of strength... We are raising a new generation, but the values on which we grew up and educated our children have not withstood the test of reality. For our children's sake, we must change things and restore their hope, and I therefore want to call your attention to the national importance in enlisting in the cause of finding ways to solve these problems - with the same 'determination and sensitivity' with which we were thrown out of our homes three years ago."

5. Israel's Illegitimate and Criminal Government: Paul Eidelberg
Self-preservation is the first law of nature. Hence, the first
purpose of government is to protect the lives of its citizens. A
government that fails to protect its citizens forfeits its
legitimacy. Such a government should obviously, and of necessity, be
terminated by one means or another.
Consider the Israeli town of Sderot, once a town of 25,000 Jewish
residents. This town has been terrorized and virtually depopulated.
It has been struck by thousands of missiles launched from Gaza. The
Arabs can bomb Sderot with impunity thanks to Israel's cowardly and
evil government. This cowardly and evil government has no right to
exist. Its continued existence disgraces every Jew in Israel as well
as in the Diaspora. This cowardly and evil government encourages
terrorism throughout the world-more so when Israel's ruling elites
reward Arab terrorism with Jewish land.
That the people of Israel tolerate such a government places in
question Israel's own right to exist. Perhaps this is the arcane or
unconscious reason why we hear voices in America and Europe
questioning Israel's justification? There may be another arcane
reason.
I have in mind the criminality of Israel's government. There is no
objective justification for releasing and arming Arab terrorists.
Yet this has been the policy of Prime Ministers Yitzhak Rabin,
Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu, Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak, Ariel
Sharon, and Ehud Olmert. This policy is criminal, immoral, and
demonstrably inane. Israeli prime ministers have released more than
7,000 terrorists, who have subsequently murdered more than 300 Jews.
Upon their release, these terrorists are exalted as heroes of Islam.
They become more zealously dedicated to terrorism, to killing more
Jews. By releasing terrorists, Israeli prime ministers have become
complicit in murder.
Let us probe deeper, and here allow me to focus on Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert. Like his six predecessors. Mr. Olmert has betrayed our
Jewish dead. Like them, he has betrayed the Jewish soldiers who died
fighting in the cause of Judaism, Zionism, Eretz Israel. Like his
predecessors, Olmert has sold his moral judgment to Arab villains.
Like his predecessors, Mr. Olmert has murdered the sense of justice.
But if justice has been murdered in Israel, does Israel have a right
to exist? This question takes priority over mere policy issues. It
is nothing less than a regime issue. Right-minded people will
accomplish nothing until they restore the sense of justice in this
country. But to do this they must arouse moral outrage. They must
condemn the prime ministers who have murdered the sense of justice.
This is no time for polite words. I am speaking of prime ministers
who have aided and abetted terrorism and who have thus become the
patrons of evil.
This is not a complicated moral issue, except for minds trapped in
and corrupted by superficial and amoral jargon like "Left" and
"Right." If, God-forbid, your loved-one is murdered by an Arab
terrorist released and armed-as many are-by the Minister of Defense
and as directed by the Prime Minister, then these two ministers have
Jewish blood on their hands. The Defense Minister may make the
excuse of Nazis: "I was only following orders or obeying the law,"
but he is still a criminal, having violated the Moral Law.
The Prime Minister may say: "I was adhering to the terms of the Oslo
or Israel-PLO agreement, and for the sake of peace." But no
agreement with a terrorist organization, and none that requires the
release of terrorists, is lawful or valid. Besides, not only does
Israeli law designate the PLO as a terrorist organization, but it was
evident from the outset that the PLO has never been committed to
peace. Its constitution makes this crystal clear: it calls for
nothing less than Israel's annihilation!
So what should thoughtful and upright people say and do when Israeli
prime ministers repeatedly mislead and betray them? What should they
say and do when their prime ministers talk peace while releasing and
arming the enemies of peace?
I invite every critic and protester of the Oslo "peace process" to
ask: "Does my criticism or protest demonstration go to the heart of
the matter, or am I merely protesting against a policy pursued by one
prime minister after another, year, after year, after year?
Does my criticism or protest demonstration expose and denounce those
who have betrayed our dead? Does it expose and excoriate those who
have released the murderers of our loved ones?
Does my criticism or protest demonstration denounce the government as
illegitimate-a criminal clique, a democratically elected despotism?
Does my criticism or protest demonstration call for regime change and
offer plans for the purpose?
Does my criticism or protest demonstration admonish our people that
justice has been murdered by seven Israeli prime ministers, and that
justice must be restored in the Land of Israel if we are not to be
expelled from this land?"

Three of them were injured one of them seriously who I happened to have taught for four years and am personally very close to him - right now he is undergoing surgery! Please pray for the Refuah Shelema of Avraham Meir Ben Malkah Chaya. Make sure to have him in mind on Shabbat as well. The doctors are optimistic!

However, Olmert has yet to give up on his efforts to block the dissolution motion. Earlier in the day he met with Shas Chairman Eli Yishai to try and persuade the religious party not to vote in favor of the Knesset dissolution bill.
Olmert's office said that "the prime minister is opposed to providing child welfare stipends based on professional research proving that increasing payments maintain poverty and societal gaps. The incentives presented to Shas can remove many people from poverty and Olmert will not increase the child welfare payments."
As part of his efforts to appease Shas, Olmert offered Yishai a budget increase of over NIS 1 billion for the low-income population but not through child welfare payments. Yishai rejected the offer and discussions between the sides are expected to continue until Wednesday's vote.

A FREUDIAN SLIP?
Letter from Ruth Matar (Women in Green) Jerusalem
Monday, June 23, 2008
Dear Friends,
I received an e-mail on June 19 from my friend Patti DiBella who lives in Florida, the United States. In this e-mail she asked me to "keep telling the truth, the land of Israel and the U.S. is depending on it!"
Dear Patti, I am very intent on presenting the whole picture truthfully. I spend much time each week researching information for the week's article. I am therefore going to give exact sources so that you can check them for yourself! For example for this week's article I found a video which can viewed on:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=H7eBTFSv7nE&feature=related
The Obama campaign has made much of Senator John McCain's advanced age. (McCain is 71 years old.) Obama has even commented that "McCain is losing his bearings as he pursues this nomination!" This was in response to McCain's comment: "If Senator Obama is favored by Hamas I think people can make judgments accordingly."
Actually, I think that it is Obama who is losing his bearings!
As an example: You are probably aware, that Senator Barack Obama recently "lost his bearings" when he said on May 9, 2008, in Beaverton, Oregon, that he had campaigned in all 57 states:
"It is just wonderful to be back in Oregon and over the last fifteen months we have traveled to every corner in the United States. I have now been in 57 states …I have one left to go… Alaska and Hawaii I really wanted to go but my staff didn't allow me to visit."
Where did Obama get the number 57?
It is more than shocking that a candidate for the presidency of the United States does not know that there are only 50 states in the U.S.! It is even more shocking that he specifically uses the number 57! My further research on the Internet indicates that there are 57 Islamic states!
The following article from the Internet is possibly an indication of why Obama incorrectly thought the number of U.S. states to be 57.
How the Islamic states dominate the UN Human Rights Council. http://www.iheu.org/node/2546
Every year from 1999 to 2005 the Organization of the Islamic Conference, representing the 57 Islamic states, presented a resolution to the UN Commission on Human Rights, called "Combating Defamation of Religions." …By 2005, the Commission for Human Rights had become widely discredited. In the words of then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan ".. the selectivity and politicizing of its activities [were] in danger of bringing the entire UN system into disrepute". The Commission was abolished by vote of the UN General Assembly in 2006 and replaced by a shiny new Human Rights Council which met for the first time in March 2006. Of the first four resolutions passed by the Council, three were resolutions condemning Israel. Whatever breaches of human rights law Israel may have committed, it beggars belief that these were the only violations of human rights on the planet worthy of condemnation by the Council. By way of contrast, the Council adopted a resolution which inter-alia congratulated the Sudan for its efforts to bring peace to Darfur!
Was Obama's use of the figure "57" to describe the number of states in the U.S. just a Freudian slip? Many friends I have spoken too feel that this is most likely the case.
However, this "Freudian slip" has made me worry more than ever about Obama becoming the first Arab-American president.
With Blessings and Love for Israel,
Ruth Matar
P.S. The definition of "Freudian slip" according to the Encarta dictionary - psychologically significant slip of tongue: an accidental mistake, usually the use of the wrong word in a sentence, thought to betray somebody's subconscious preoccupations http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_/Freudian%2520Slip.html

Another blaring proof that our Leadership has failed to represent Authentic Judaism based on our Torah. Here the target is AIPAC.
Why I Cried at Aipac
by Tova Abadi
I never expected to exit the ballroom after a speech by Condoleeza Rice and break down in tears. Why did it happen? It was not because of the words by Condoleeza Rice. Clearly, her words and actions are not worth the tears of a Bat Yisrael.
I cried because I had just become a witness to the majority of the 7400 Jews present applauding Rice after hearing that we must have a "Palestinian" State inside of
The AIPAC leadership did their best to make certain that the invited speakers would receive a hearty and warm reception no matter what words were spoken. This message from AIPAC was emailed to registrants, spoken repeatedly, and even was on a ticker inside the convention center. The speaker could have called for the death and destruction of the Jewish people and the participants were mindlessly prepared to applaud.
Actually, that is what happened. Because AIPAC's guest speakers called for an Arab state inside of our Land which will be a launching pad for terror attacks throughout Israel. This will pose a danger to not only the seven million Jews living in
Not to mention that both Rice and Obama stated that there should be no more settlement construction. (In other words, they actually stated that Jews should not continue to build in certain parts of our G-D given Land.) And yet more applause from AIPAC attendees.
To make it worst, if that it possible, the AIPAC leaders seem extremely proud of this accomplishment and were engaged in a lot of patting on the back and reaping praise for one another.
As the ballroom doors opened and the huge crowd made their way out, my mind wandered to Jews being herded into cattle cars, irrespective of the fact that they were willing to be "good Germans." Similarly, many AIPAC attendees told me that they are proud, good Americans and
And I thought to myself "when will we stop being a stiff necked people?" and follow the will of HASHEM? Where in our Torah is there mention of a "palestinian aka arab" state inside our precious homeland?
So, as I was leaving with my friend Rob Muchnick ( U.S. Director of Manhigut Yehudit- an organization that B"H represents Jewish pride and identity,) I spontaneously burst out crying outside the ballroom of the DC Convention Center.
I wasn't crying for the outside forces that seek to destroy AM Yisrael but for our own Jewish brethren who are blinded by weak and opportunistic Jewish "leadership."
AIPAC's stated mission is to strengthen the US-Israel strategic alliance. Apparently this means supporting those following strategy leading to the destruction of
Later, I joined an AIPAC delegation and proceeded to Congress, I actually heard an AIPAC group leader argue with a
Many AIPAC participants told me that they have to follow whatever the Israeli government says and does, because

A "Resolution regarding Israel from Pro-Israel Christian Leaders" signed by over a thousand Christian leaders and urging a new U.S. policy toward Israel is being submitted to Senator John McCain with a request for a meeting with the candidate. AFSI has been working on this project with Rev. James Hutchens, Chaplain and Brigadier General of the U.S. Army (Ret.) and chairman of the Jerusalem Connection, Richard Hellman of CIPAC (Christians' Israel Public Action Campaign), Rev. James Vineyand, whose Oklahoma City church has 3,500 members and Rev. David Welch, who heads up a group of pastors in the Texas region.
To give an idea of the wide geographic range of supportive churches, among those who have signed on are the pastors of the Bible Baptist Church in Fairbanks Arkansas with 525 members, the Northwest Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio, with 700 members and the Clays Mill Road Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky with 2,000 members.
The resolution reads:
WHEREAS, Christian Zionism supports the modern State of Israel as a partial fulfillment of God's covenant promise to provide a national homeland for the Jewish people in anticipation of their ultimate redemption when Messiah comes; and
WHEREAS, These God-decreed covenants have an everlasting validity and relevance for the modern State of Israel; and
WHEREAS, The legal validity of the modern State of Israel has been established by international law in the Balfour Declaration of November 1917, and the British Mandate formalized at the League of Nations in July 1922, the United Nations partition resolution of 1947, the official recognition of the State of Israel by the United States in May of 1948 and Israel's admission to the United Nations in 1949; and
WHEREAS, Since its birth as a nation Israel has been under relentless attack by Arabs and Palestinians whose goal is not peace with Israel but its total annihilation; and
WHEREAS, The various peace proposals advanced by the United States, including the administration's "Land for Peace" to be implemented by a "Two-State Solution," have been historically and factually verifiable failures; and
WHEREAS, These failures have been a result of a dysfunctional denial of the stated goals of Palestinian Jihadists and other Iran sponsored terrorist groups such as Hezbollah to destroy Israel, including the continuing efforts to appease Israel's enemies by requiring Israel to give up land for peace; and
WHEREAS, There can be no realistic expectation of regional peace until Palestinian Jihadists are defeated, disarmed and their terrorist infrastructure dismantled; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the administration's "Road Map to Peace" with its "Land for Peace" and "Two-State Solution" be deemed unworkable and allowed to lapse; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a serious and engaged consideration be given to a new US/Israel policy that would be comprehensive and practical in dealing with the realities on the ground as well as honoring of God's covenant promises to Israel. (e.g. Please see "The Israeli Initiative").
Submitted by Petitioners, coordinated by Jerusalem Connection.
Like a bird that repetitively bangs against a glass window, administrations for the last forty years have stubbornly pursued the same failed and bound-to-fail policy of "retreat-for-peace." For a core constituency to confront a Presidential candidate with a challenge to the folly that is "received wisdom" is a vitally important first step.
6. Pidyon Shvuim - update on Halamish brothers by Datya Itzhaki
June 19, 2008
Pidion Shvuim Alert:
No. 15
Halamish Brothers Remain in Jail
Dani and Itzik Halamish were jailed on May 20 despite a final plea to
the Supreme Court to grant a stay of sentence while a presidential pardon is
under consideration.
The Supreme Court failed to answer the final appeal by the brothers and
they began their respective sentences of seven months and eight months.
"The implementation of the sentence without allowing enough time for the
president to complete the pardon process harms the standing of the president
of the state," defense attorney Dov Even Or said. "The jailing of the
brothers today despite the consideration of a presidential pardon, a process
which takes six months, makes a mockery of the [court's] decision if the
pardon is accepted."
Dani and Itzik are in the Torani wing of Maasiyahu Prison in Ramle but
prison authorities have refused to authorize the special kosher food that
the brothers eat so that they receive a very restricted diet.
Supporters of the brothers continue to organize demonstrations urging President
Shimon Peres to grant them a pardon. Supporters also hold musical vigils outside
the prison on Saturday nights.
Last week, the prison warden warned Dani that the prison will not tolerate the Saturday night "Melave Malkas." This, despite the fact that Dani had no part in
organizing the demonstration.
Prison authorities have also separated the brothers in different cells, hampering
communication between them.
Dan and Yitzhak Halamish, two members of an Israel Army-sponsored unit
have been abandoned by the military and sentenced to jail for protecting a
Jewish community in Judea and
The Halamishs, as part of their reserve military service, were members
of a security response team organized, equipped and trained by the Israeli
Army to help protect their community and surrounding region from Arab
attack. On Feb. 21, 2004, the brothers were summoned by another security
officer, Baruch Feldbaum, to help expel Bedouins who trespassed into the
Jewish community of Sdei Bar and were encamped near a student dormitory.
Bedouin tribes in the area had been deemed responsible for the killing of
several Jews in the area in previous years.
Under the direction of Feldbaum, the Halamish brothers ordered the
Bedouin squatters to leave. The Bedouins refused, and about 20 of them
approached the Jewish security officers with sticks and rocks. Feldbaum shot
toward the ground when the Bedouins continued to move closer.
The response team later said that it shot in self-defense. An army medic
who arrived at the scene determined that nobody was struck by the gunfire,
an assertion disputed by the Bedouins.
At that point, the military abandoned its own security team and allowed
a police investigation. Although police refused to conduct ballistic tests
or even a lineup of suspects, the brothers were convicted of shooting toward
the Bedouins. Dan was sentenced to seven months in prison; Yitzhak, to eight
months.
An Israeli appeals court said ballistic tests or a lineup weren't
necessary. The word of the Bedouins -- who refused to show up to police
headquarters to identify their purported assailants -- was enough.
The court also rejected a recommendation by the probation officer for
community service. The three-judge panel said it wanted the Halamish
brothers to go to jail to serve as a lesson to others.
Since then, at least 1,000 people have either telephoned their outrage
to the Israeli military or signed a petition for the suspension of their
sentences.
Call the Israel Embassy [telephone 202-364-5500] and ask to speak to
the military attache. Express your outrage that the Israel Army abandoned
its fighters for protecting Jews. Don't argue. The military attache's
office knows exactly what you're talking about. Stress that you are an
American citizen whose support for the Israeli military is based on its
protection of Jews. Say that you also plan to discuss this case with your
member of Congress who decides on
member of congress to convey your message to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who
is meeting with Israeli leaders.
The Olmert government, with an approval rating of near zero, has refused
any accountability to the Israeli people and fears only the Bush
administration. Unless we act now, there will be many more young Jews in
jail. Since Passover, the government has gone a rampage to destroy
synagogues and structures in Jewish communities all over Judea and
Call your local synagogue or community center and demand that they cancel
all invitations to government members or military personnel to address your
communities. Stress that they are no longer welcome in American Jewry.

7. Yishuv Itamar needs funds to send kids to camp.
Sent by Mayor of Itamar Rabbi Moshe and his wife Leah Goldsmith. This Yishuv is so worthy of any gift we can give them. The families and their children love the Land of Israel so so much. My family was privileged to be invited to the Zimerman's one of the families on Itamar , for a Shabbat. They have an organic farm and their son raised chickens in their basement. Their living room window face Har Grizim and Har Eival the mountains where the Jewish Nation received the blessings and the curses. They are a proud bunch that ask no favors other than to live and prosper and work on their Land. Their Yishuv was infiltrated too many times with too many tragic stories. Yet their spirit remains strong and their children will inherit the Land beEzrat Hashem.
Dearest friends I have a special request for those interested. Every year Itamar runs a special summer camp program for the children and youth. Unfortunately, the families of Itamar don't have the means to pay the full cost of the program. If we don't get help from out friends we will not be able to provide the summer program for the children. It goes without saying that these children, among them orphans, deserve to have a happy summer like other children their age. Anyone, who could help out by sponsoring a child (250 dollars) or to partly sponsor one (125 dollars) will be doing a tremendous Mitzvah! For those who can't help at this time or have recently helped us Please circulate this e-mail to as many friends as possible. Those who want to find out more about our community send them this link – www.friendsofitamar.org. [total project cost around 15 thousand dollars]
