Dear Rabbanim, amv"sh

Thank you so much for taking the time to speak to Shmuel Koenig about the upcoming Gush Katif Museum Dinner.  There will be strong press both Jewish and Secular.  A high profile PR firm is covering this event.  Also please come yourself.

Fliers were distributed throughout Flatbush so they might be in your shul.  It's a window of opportunity to do our hishtadlus to prevent expulsions in Judea and Samaria before it's too late.  If we don't and then we meet a refugee after his home has been razed will we be able to look him in the eye?   Thank you and Shabbat Shalom!

The FRIENDS of the GUSH KATIF MUSEUM IN JERUSALEM invite the community to a dinner in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY at the RAZAG BALLROOOM, 739 East New York Avenue, at 6 P.M. on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2012.  This dinner will heighten awareness of the tragedy of the Tisha B'Av expulsion from 21 flourishing communities from Gush Katif and 4 in the northern Shomron in August, 2005 by order of Ariel Sharon.  As preparations for the Dinner are underway and in full swing, Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo, director of the Museum was recently summoned by the Israeli police for questioning. The interrogator informed Rabbi Wolpo that he is under suspicion of encouraging soldiers to disobey orders, a crime liable to heavy punishment. "I'm not encouraging disobedience to orders," declared Rabbi Wolpo to the police investigator. "I'm encouraging soldiers to follow the order of G-d, who gave the entire land of Israel to the Jewish people and commanded us to settle every part of it. Disobeying orders are those trying to please the enemy by advocating establishment of a terror state in the heart of the Holy Land."
Rabbi Wolpo , SOS-Israel and his team in Crown Heights,  are working with a team of strong activists for Israel in America, to make this Dinner an overwhelming success. These include organizations such as AFSI, Director Helen Freedman and The World Committee of the Land of Israel, whose executive committee include Dr. Joseph Frager, Dr. Paul Brody,  Rabbi David Algaze and  Odeleya Jacobs,  To RSVP, please call 718-989-2767, or mail your check to "Friends of Gush Katif Museum," 383 Kingston Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11213, suite 155, or email: GushKatifMuseum@hotmail.co.il. You can also pay online with your credit card: www.sos-israel.com. This and all other contributions are tax deductible.
Americans for a Safe Israel/AFSI (www.afsi.org) and The World Committee for the Land of Israel are offering subsidized rates, when needed 212-828-2424; 800-235-3658; afsi@rcn.com.
To date, the Museum has been visited by over 100,000 people, including Knesset members, members of Congress, and many notable personalities across all political lines. By attending the Gush Katif Museum Dinner, you will have a unique opportunity to learn about and support the invaluable work of SOS-Israel  and help to prevent any further Jewish expulsions. YOUR presence at this Dinner can make a difference! Be with us!! NEVER FORGET!
