I haven't read Michael Wolffe's new book on the 2016 Trump Presidential campaign (it's not officially out yet), but one look at the long excerpt printed in NEW YORK magazine tells me it's quite an imaginative work of fiction. A number of people closely associated with the campaign and in the best position to know have already said as much, strongly denying statements they're quoted as saying.

Just by paying attention to the tone of the writing, one can easily see that this is a contrived narrative dripping with negativity and cynicism, especially the theme of Trump assuming all along that he would lose. Notice how much of it is hyperbolic rhetoric, much like an attorney's colorful summation, which as we know can be any old observation he wants to throw in with no evidence whatsoever required to back it up. Here's just one example of the writing: "Few people who knew Trump had illusions about him. That was his appeal: he was what he was. Twinkle in his eye, larceny in his soul."

Unexpected numbers

Once again, economists were caught short by "unexpected" job numbers. Except, unlike under the previous Administration, the numbers were far larger than their estimates: 250,000 new private sector jobs in December, while they predicted 190,000. Job growth was also broad-based, not just service jobs.

Religious expression in schools spelled out

Kudos to the Louisiana Attorney General and U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson for teaming up to create a 15-page guideline that clears up confusion about religious expression in schools. For years, liberal school administrators and atheist activists have exploited confusion over court rulings to bully students into thinking it's somehow against the law to pray, bring a Bible to class and read it, or discuss their religious beliefs in public schools. In fact, while courts have ruled that faculty can't lead or require those things, students maintain a fundamental First Amendment right to do all of them, and it's not revoked by simply being on school grounds.

The irony is that opponents of religious freedom have thrown up so much confusion and so many groundless lawsuits that it should take 15 pages to spell out just 22 very clear words: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech…"

The Russia collusion narrative

The new movie "I Tonya" has brought the sordid tale of fallen figure skater Tonya Harding back into the spotlight. It shows the pretty awful backstory that most people didn't know, about Harding's abusive mother and husband, and pins the blame for the attack on rival Nancy Kerrigan largely on her husband's pal Shawn Eckhardt. He is depicted as a laughably pitiful, self-deluded loser who constantly boasts of his high-level contacts as an international espionage expert and covert fixer while he's actually living at home with his mother.

Well, if you've seen that movie, or even the trailers online, as the original "Russian collusion" narrative continues to crumble and the anti-Trump media desperately turn their hopes for bringing down Trump to the barroom ramblings of low-level campaign volunteer George Papadopolous, I dare you to read this latest examination of the narrative without thinking of the movie depiction of Shawn Eckhart.

The young British pop singer Lorde is the latest music figure to be bullied by the misguided movement started by Rogers Waters of Pink Floyd into canceling a planned concert in Israel. These rock musicians are okay with performing in nations that are host to all sorts of violence, oppression and injustice, but somehow draw the line at appearing in a tolerant democracy that happens to be run by Jews. Gee, I wish there were a good term to describe that attitude.

The Lawyers' War on Trump Posted: 03 Jan 2018 11:59 AM PST The original civil war was fought by farmhands and factory workers, freed slaves and young boys turned soldiers; the new civil war is being fought by lawyers in blue or gray suits not with bullets, but with bullet points. From the Mueller investigation to Federal judges declaring that President Trump doesn't have the right to control immigration policy or command the military, from political sabotage at the DOJ by Obama appointees like Sally Yates to Patagonia's lawsuit over national monuments, the cold civil war set off by the left's rejection of the 2016 election results has been a paper war largely waged by lawyers. "The biggest threat to New Yorkers right now is the federal government," Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of New York recently declared. The radical leftist pol who had once vowed to do everything possible to elect Hillary Clinton was explaining his hundred lawsuits against the government on everything from net neutrality to the travel ban meant to keep out the Islamic terrorists running over tourists near Ground Zero and bombing commuters in the tunnels off Times Square. Islamic terrorists have killed thousands of people in New York City in the last two decades. Net neutrality's current death toll hovers around zero. The Federal government is far less of a threat to New Yorkers than their own government which insists that Islamic terrorists should be able to kill them. But it is a great threat to a class of political lawyers whose ranks include AG Schneiderman, Hawaii's Judge Derrick Watson, Mueller's team, Sally Yates, the ACLU and countless other #resistance combatants. The blatant secessionism of the AG's premise is no longer extraordinary. Not when California's Jerry Brown tours the world signing independent environmental treaties. Schneiderman is one of a number of blue state attorney generals who have decided that their primary focus shouldn't be enforcing the law, but resisting the Federal government. But Scheiderman is also articulating the central tenet of the new #resistance which, despite Antifa's antics, is more dedicated to legal sabotage than actual violence. It's still a paper civil war. For now. The loss of the two elected branches of government has forced the left to default to the unelected third. Like AG Schneiderman, the left's legal civil war appears to reject the authority of the Federal government. But despite the posturing, blue staters aren't serious about seceding. Nor have they become newfound converts to the rights of states to go their own way when they disagree with D.C. New York and California's #resistance apparatchiks aren't rejecting the authority of Federal judges. They're turning to them and relying on them. Instead they're rejecting the authority of elected Federal officials. Their secession isn't Federal, it's democratic. They want a strong central government. They just aren't willing to allow the American people to decide who gets to run it. That's what the civil war is about. Will the American people govern themselves? Or will Mueller, Schneiderman, Watson, Yates and ten thousand other elites with law degrees be allowed to turn elections into a meaningless farce? Federal judges have seized previously unimaginable amounts of power by not only blocking orders that had always been considered an essential part of presidential authority on flimsy premises that when dissected amount to a critique of President Trump's character (not to mention the sovereign entitlement of the University of Hawaii to set national immigration policy for the entire country based on its urgent need for Syrian grad students), but by demanding that agencies under the control of the President of the United States enact their orders, such as accepting transgender military recruits. The absurd outcomes of these rulings, that the University of Hawaii can set national immigration policy, but not the President of the United States, and that fitness to serve in the military can be determined by a Federal judge, but not by the military or the commander in chief, are only an irrational side effect of a conflict between the elected branches of government and an unelected class of political lawyers. The Mueller investigation has to be seen in the context of a battle between the democratic powers of the people to choose their own representatives and the lawyers who actually run the government. Elections are being replaced by investigations and litigation as the engines of government. You don't need to win an election to investigate elected officials. You don't need public support to sue either. Government by litigation and investigation shifts power away from voters to lawyers. What was meant to be a last resort for redressing serious violations instead becomes the primary test for holding political office. When investigation and litigation become more powerful tools than en election, then a politician must court the political legal class ahead of the country's voters and put his obligations to them first. That intended outcome is also the cause of the conflict. President Trump refused to put the political class ahead of the voters. The legal civil war is being fought to reaffirm the centrality of the establishment over the voters. The civil war is a conflict between the political class and the people. It's a struggle over the tools of government being waged with those tools. Populism isn't always a threat to the establishment. Obama's populism didn't threaten the establishment because its purpose was to reaffirm its power. Hope and Change just meant building a coalition that would vote for more government power in exchange for political goodies. But Trump's populism challenges the existence of the establishment and its ability to distribute those goodies. Politicians often run against the political machine. But most just want to pull the levers. Trump has challenged its power and its existence. And that is what set off the civil war. Legal conflict is the last stage before physical conflict. The lawyers' war is a last ditch effort by the establishment to wrest physical control of the government from President Trump. Unable to give the orders as the representatives of the people, the left is asserting every possible valid and invalid legal stratagem to run the government anyway. And to run President Trump out of town. If its legal gambit fails, the left will default fully to mass protests, street violence and terrorism. But the beauty of the legal gambit is that it allows the left to make common cause with establishment non-radicals like Mueller or the FBI's Strzok who disprove of President Trump without sharing the left's larger political agenda. A civil war fought by lawyers is cleaner and less ugly than one fought with bombs and bullets. If President Trump can survive the lawyers' war, his opposition will be split between radicals who support violence and an establishment that wants to keep things running. That is the Mueller test. If the Democrats can't sweep into office on the investigation's coattails, the whole thing dies with a whimper. As Trump reshapes the judiciary, the judicial activism will matter less. The lawyers' war will either end with the next election. Or it will begin in earnest. And only voter turnout will decide that. Meanwhile the civil war continues. It's a civil war fought with paperwork. But its outcome will determine whether the "government of the people, by the people, for the people" that President Lincoln invoked in the Gettysburg Address will thrive or "perish from the earth." Governments are run by bullets and paper, by force and process. Today's civil war is still a paper war. But if the paper civil war fails, the rest of it may be fought the same way as the original civil war.

The day after the vote in Likud Central Committee, where there was a
unanimous resolution in favor of the application of sovereignty "over
all the liberated areas of settlement in Judea and Samaria", Yehudit
Katsover and Nadia Matar are celebrating this achievement. "The most
moving thing was that there was no cynicism at all in the Committee",
Matar says. "We met people that had not come to the Likud Central
Committee for years, but this time they left their homes, all over the
country, just to vote on this matter. It's true that it took 50 years,
but this is a huge step. Natan Englesman, Shevah Weiss and Shai
Merling and the Land of Israel people in the Likud deserve the credit
for this step; working methodically and tenaciously, they collected
900 signatures and brought the Committee to a meeting".

"Last Sunday was a breakthrough at Likud Central", Katsover adds. "It
was extraordinarily moving. We saw how people simply love the Land of
Israel. We saw that deep down, people want to connect with the ideal".

For years, Katsover (70), a resident of Hevron, Director of the
College of Education in Kiryat Arba, wife of Tzvi Katsover, mother of
five and grandmother to 16, and Matar (51), resident of Efrat, mother
of six and grandmother to two, have dedicated themselves to advancing
the idea of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, as the heads of Women in
Green. On Monday, as I spoke with them, they were on their way to the
Cave of the Patriarch in Hevron driving in Matar's battered Jeep. "We
need to go thank our mothers and fathers", they said, half-jokingly,
"to tell them that it's good they bought the Cave of the Patriarchs at
full price, but they left us with a lot of work to do".

The Right-wing movement Women in Green was founded by Michael and Ruth
Matar in 1993, following the signing of the Oslo Accords, taking its
name from their campaign against a return to the Green Line in the
90s, when its members wore green hats. The movement's activities over
the years have included protest demonstrations against the Oslo
Accords, the signing of a petition against the establishment of a
Palestinian State and other events. During Operation Defensive Shield,
Women in Green's members defended the IDF soldiers against Machsom
Watch. In 2010, Matar and Katsover established the Sovereignty
Movement as an NGO (non-governmental organization) working toward the
application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Since 2013,
the movement has been publishing the Sovereignty Journal, dealing with
the issue of Israeli sovereignty in the territories of Judea and
Samaria.

The same excuses

1,500 members of the Likud Central Committee, who gathered on Sunday
in Airport City, voted for a binding resolution of the party's support
of the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea, Samaria and the
Jordan Valley.  Almost all ministers of the Likud were present except
for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the vote was taken with his
knowledge. The Likud Central Committee calls on Likud officials to act
toward allowing unconstrained building and to apply Israeli law and
sovereignty over the communities of Judea and Samaria. While it is
true that Likud Central cannot enforce the law, it serves as an
ideological example among Likud members.

The idea of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria began with the liberation
of Judea, Samaria, Gaza, the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem in the
Six Day War, but got a strong boost in recent years under the aegis of
Women in Green. If not for the  activities of Matar and Katsover, it
is almost certain that the vote that took place in Likud Central on
Sunday would not have happened, or would have happened only years
later.

Katsover and Matar have long since become used to being considered
"delusional", even by the mainstream Right. In 2005, when they saw
that the struggle against the disengagement plan was not succeeding
and that the communities and their residents were expelled, they made
an essential change in their activities, which had included up until
then, demonstrations and protests. They referred to maps and decided
to stop the Palestinian encroachment to Area C, which was under full
Israeli control according to the Oslo Accords, and began the battle
for strategic points, both in the communities and with plantings. "We
would plant, and the Palestinians would uproot them", says Katsover.
"Until we finally won. And then my husband told us that we are 'trying
to empty the ocean with a teaspoon'. We understood that the struggle
cannot be limited to specific points".

From Katsover and Matar's point of view, sovereignty is necessary for
the half million Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, who, according
to them, have the obligations of Israeli law on one hand, but do not
enjoy the rights, and even for the simplest of procedures they must
apply to the Civil Administration, the thinly-manned military body
that is responsible for the lives of the residents of Judea and
Samaria. So, for example, they cannot own the land on which their
houses are built, unless they buy it from a Palestinian, and every
alteration requires the permission of a military person. Sovereignty,
at least in Area C, will change this situation.

According to Katsover and Matar, the residents crave normalcy. They
say that one of the difficulties that the two women encountered during
this struggle was the way the authorities related to the Jews in Judea
and Samaria. "The Civil Administration and judicial system viewed us,
the Jews in Judea and Samaria, as temporary residents, while they
viewed the Palestinians as the proprietors, as the indigenous people",
says Matar. "When we brought a tractor to a plot – the whole world was
up in arms. When an Arab did it – it was natural to them. The
authorities wondered why in the world they had to protect these Jews,
although what these crazy women say is correct. We understood that we
have to get to the root of the problem. We understood that if we apply
sovereignty in the area – the problem will be solved", says Matar.

They say that about 250 people came to Women in Green's first
conference in Hevron in 2011, and "a few courageous speakers", as they
defined it, including Tzipi Hotovely and Uri Ariel. "Everyone thought
it was delusional", they claim.

"Yehudit decided, and rightly so, that we first need to convince our
own camp about the need for sovereignty", Matar says. "Until that
time, the agenda was only for settlement and building. We felt that if
there was no sovereignty, we would not be able to defend the
communities. When we set out with the first conference, people from
our own camp asked us: 'why are you doing this just now' and 'why rock
the boat'. All the excuses that that the spies used when they came to
tour the Land were still being used".

More than twice as many supporters of the idea came to Women in
Green's second conference a year later. Between the conferences, the
two women held personal meetings with ministers, members of Knesset
and other public figures, trying to inculcate the idea within them.
For the third conference, they rented a huge hall and broadcast the
speakers outside the hall, "and it still was not enough", says
Katsover. "We understood that we were still emptying the ocean with a
teaspoon. And then we decided to publish the Sovereignty Journal and
distribute it in two hundred thousand copies in English and Hebrew".

Katsover and Matar are also critical of their own camp, of the YESHA
Council, who, they say, despite the evacuations of Migron, Ofrah and
Emuna, still did not understand what had to be done. "A year ago we
raised the subject in a meeting of the YESHA Council, says Katsover.
"Meanwhile, there were evacuations that we did not manage to prevent.
Since Gush Katif, we always respond in the same way. We didn't change
our pattern of behavior; just lobbying and more lobbying, everyone
made promises and nothing helped, and in the best case, they would
keep their promises after a decade had passed. We have to explain that
the Land is ours, and this must be enshrined in legislation". *

"We are not the first ones to deal with sovereignty", adds Katsover.
"Aryeh Eldad, Uri Elitzur, obm, Rav Beni Elon obm and Caroline Glick
came before us. But we turned it into a campaign. We don't take the
credit, only the credit for being persistent".

Because of Hope

Over the years, the Sovereignty magazine, created by Katsover and
Matar, has interviewed members of Knesset, ministers and many public
figures, and each had his own way of defining Israeli sovereignty in
Judea and Samaria, which is the unilateral annexation of the
territory, regardless of whether the Palestinians or the rest of the
world agrees to it.

Katsover and Matar are not indifferent to the matter of the
Palestinians who live in Area C, who, are estimated to number in the
tens of thousands. There are those who believe that they should be
transferred to Area A or B; there are those who claim that they should
be given the status of permanent residency, like the residents of
eastern Jerusalem and there are those who want to give them full
citizenship. "The Left keeps inflating the number of Palestinians in
Judea and Samaria by another million. They say that the number has
reached five million people", says Katsover. "Recently, there finally
was clarification regarding the number of refugees in Lebanon, and it
turns out that although they thought that they numbered about a half
million people, there are only about 150 thousand. There is always a
huge gap between what they say and the truth".

"According to demographer Yoram Ettinger, there are about 1.6 million
Palestinians in Judea and Samaria", adds Matar. "We are not ignoring
this problem. We are for annexing the territory (Women in Green
relates to the entire territory, including Areas A and B –K.E.);
giving them rights of residency like the residents of Jerusalem have,
but never national rights. As Tzvi Katsover, Yehudit's husband, says,
it's not despair that drives their terror, but hope. The hope that
they can take our Land from us. The application of Israeli law will
uproot that hope. They can integrate themselves here as residents with
the condition that they behave lawfully. There will not be a situation
where they can slap a soldier or touch a soldier. This will not be".

Matar complains about the supporters of "two states for two peoples".
"Anyone who thinks that we can solve a demographic problem by
establishing a state for them does not understand that masses of
Palestinians will enter by way of the border with Jordan", she says.
"This is the real threat to the Jewish majority west of the Jordan,
not sovereignty. Nobody is saying this".

Meanwhile, Katsover and Matar do not rest for a moment and are
continually working to secure the committee's decision by legislation.
At the same time, they discovered that there is no National Master
Plan that includes Judea and Samaria, so they are working toward
formulating such a plan with an expert from Ariel University. They
intend to propose the plan to the relevant ministers. "The mountain
thoroughfare should be the key thoroughfare of Israel and the mountain
ridge should become an area with a Jewish majority", says Matar. "We
are suffocating. Minister Yoav Galant also understands that we need to
turn eastward from Gush Dan, and he is consolidating such a plan, but
it is not enough for us – we need sovereignty over everything".

Identity Politics Works Until You Run Out of Other People Posted: 01 Jan 2018 05:21 PM PST Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher famously observed that socialism works until you run out of other people's money. Identity politics also works until you run out of other people. And then #MeToo becomes #NotMeToo. Other people's money can be borrowed against. That's why we have the national debt that we do. But identity politics has multiplied too abruptly and explosively to postpone the reckoning much longer. What were once simple categories of three races and two genders has mutated into an infinite alphabet of sexual identities, a Big Bang of ethnicities, national, cultural, racial and religious, each with its own microaggressions, that easily tops two hundred and shows no signs of slowing down its expansion. Intersectionality, the Das Kapital of identity politics economics, tries to manage the complex network of interactions even as it purges Jews and white people. And now it's even starting to purge men. The left is running out of other people. #MeToo, #BlackLivesMatter, the campus purges of 'whiteness' and 'toxic masculinity', the civil wars within the LGBT alphabet soup all point to the 'other people' crisis of the left. The latest social justice wave has made men, white people and even white gay men into hate objects. The resentment coalition of identity politics is fracturing into a tribal war of identity microgroups against everyone else. The economics of socialism and the political economics of identity politics both come down to the core leftist creed of redistributing the wealth and privilege supposedly hoarded by a minority. Seize all the wealth from the rich and fund free health care. Take away white privilege and open up society. Open the borders of the United States to the Third World. Shut down factories and end all pollution. Destroy capitalism, the patriarchy, heteronormativity, whiteness and every other strawman raised up by the left. That is the engine of the three radical R's of the left: Resentment, Revolution and Redistribution. It's a scam. Like every scam, it relies on using the greed of the mark against him. Con artists are in the easy money business. They promise the men and women they scam that they can have easy money. But it's only the con artist who ends up easily making money out of the deal. That's the scam the left pulls. It's why leftist politics is the greatest and deadliest scam ever perpetrated in human history. The Russian peasants who were promised their own land were instead chained to feudal collectivist farms. They were reduced to sharecroppers who were unable to leave the lands of their masters. The workers who were promised bread starved in the cities. The soldiers who were promised peace died in a more horrifying war. When Stalin told his mother that he was the new czar, the scam was complete. It was the same story from the Soviet Union to Communist China, from Cuba to Cambodia, from the ghettoes of blue states to the rusting factories of union shops, from the decaying farmlands of Europe to the blighted working class of Britain. The scam ends with mass misery for everyone except the leftist scammers. The revolutionaries get rich and powerful while everyone else loses everything. But every scam has a choke point. That's where the bait turns out to be the hook. It's where the revolution runs out of other people's money and comes for your life savings. It's when environmentalism doesn't mean shutting someone else's factory, but raising your energy bills, banning your plastic bags and shutting down the business that pays your wages. It's when the new horrible racist or sexist of the week isn't that guy on the news. It's you. The choke point is when the revolution you supported runs out of all the other people who supposedly had it coming. And its machinery of smears, thievery and murder (for the people) reaches you. The great scam of the left is convincing the majority that the solution to their problems lies with a small minority. Get rid of the 1 percent and the 99 percent will live like kings. Get rid of a few southern racists and we can all be brothers. Ban X, regulate Y and outlaw Z and we'll all be better off for it. The choke point is when the small minority expands to include you. And then it's no longer a few billionaires. It's the upper middle class. And then it's the entire middle class. It's all white people. It's all men. And then it's everyone. The minority turns out to be the majority. And that's the scam. Identity politics is approaching its own choke point. It's running out of other people. The theme of intersectionality is that everyone is privileged and everyone is oppressed. The choke point of identity politics is being hidden behind complex formulas that openly stigmatize all white people and all men, but that's the bait that actually and ultimately lines up everyone for privilege redistribution. The war on 'whiteness', a racist academic construct, is the identity politics equivalent of the denunciations of the middle class. The 'white privilege' slogan makes it clear that the left isn't just coming for a small indefensible minority (which is where the left always starts its lynch mob), but for a narrow and envied majority. White people in identity politics, like the middle class in economics, are the choke point where the seductive 1 percent lie gives way to the lesser lie that splits society apart. Intersectionality is the identity politics equivalent of Bolshevism. Inside its rhetoric and formulas is the final and fatal truth that it isn't merely a narrow minority that must be dispossessed, but everyone. It's not only a small minority or even a majority that is guilty. Everyone is oppressive. Everyone is guilty. Universal guilt is the jagged hook waiting at the end of the shiny lure. The left educates its marks into resenting easy targets and then expands that resentment into circles that eventually encompass our entire society. No race, class or gender is truly exempt. Eventually the purges even reach the acolytes of the left. Just ask the old Bolsheviks of the USSR or the leftist media heads rolling under #MeToo. It's the final stop of leftist politics where all its rotten ideas sink into the muck. Everyone is guilty of polluting the environment. And everyone must pay the carbon tax. Everyone has privilege and must check their privilege. Everyone has too much money. Even if they hardly have anything at all. The left is not in the business of partial revolutions. That too is part of the scam. Its revolutions are total. And totally fatal. The revolutions begin with the 1 percent, but they are meant to end with 100 percent. Leftist revolutions run on resentment and greed. And when they have worked through the most obvious targets of that resentment and greed, they will turn on anyone who can be resented or envied. And that's everyone. Everyone is enviable to at least one other person. And that's enough. Intersectionality's mantra of universal privilege and guilt is in the toxic DNA of leftist politics. Everyone is guilty. Everyone must pay. No race, gender or class provides any ultimate immunity from the reckoning. With so many identities, the next purge can come from anywhere. Even as the left rages against Trump, its own civil war is underway. Sandernistas are battling Clintonistas. Every group is asserting its own oppression. Leftists are readying a final purge of pro-life Dems. Campus culture denounces whiteness. Everyone is waiting for the next social justice hashtag to sweep through with its wave of political terror. The revolution is here. And leftists are running out of other people to feed to the guillotine.

Trump's "2020" vision At midnight May 14, 1948, Prime Minister David Ben Gurion and the Provisional Government of Israel proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. On that very same day, only eight minutes later, Harry Truman, the Democratic President of the United States, became the first world leader to formally recognize the provisional Jewish government as de facto authority of the Jewish state. President Truman's immediate support of Israel was against the advice of his cabinet and senior advisors, and also ignored the fact that many Jewish American leaders at the time opposed Zionism. Yet, in one swift bold political stroke, Truman cemented a symbiotic political relationship between the Democratic Party and American Jewry that has held up for the past 70 years. President Trump's recent declaration that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel to be followed up with the American Embassy moving to Jerusalem signals the beginning of a historic change between American Jewry and the Republican party. Trump will accomplish this historic change with the Jerusalem declaration and will win over the rank and file of American Jewry; his sights are set on making this transformation a game changing political reality and creating a new bond between American Jewry and the Republican Party. Trump knows that there is a huge gap between what self-declared American liberal Jewish leaders say and do in the name of American Jewry and what the more conservative/rationale/proud of Israel type Jews of America who want to express their love and support for Israel but are stymied by the politically correct movement of progressive and liberal Jews. Critical voices from the Jewish American liberal left include the usual suspects; Reform clergy Rick Jacobs, New Israel Fund's Daniel Sokatch, JStreets' Jeremy Ben-Ami who will all slowly find their way to political oblivion as Trump marches onward and wins the hearts and respect of Jews throughout America. These days, all presidents are locked into a permanent election campaign, which typically begins the day after the previous election. President Trump understands that for the Republican party to hold on to the White House and to continue to have a controlling majority in both houses of Congress, another important segment of the American public other than American Jewry has to be connected with and convinced that their traditional support of the Democratic Party has been nothing more than a politics of dependency, keeping entire communities chained to poverty, street violence, and inter-generational hopelessness. It was a Republican President by the name of Abraham Lincoln who abolished slavery in America, it was the Republican Party that passed the 15th Amendment and gave African Americans the right to vote, it was the Republican Party that passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The first African American Republican was elected to the US Senate way back in 1871, compared to the first African American Democrat who was elected in 1999. Does any even remember that the late Democratic Senate Majority Leader Robert Byrd was a member of the Ku Klux Klan when he was a young man. President Trump has brought economic prosperity to America. In the first year of the Republican Presidency, the economic situation of African Americans has improved more than in all of the 8 years of the previous Democratic administration. Traditional Democratic policies such as limiting job growth in the private sector, or supporting teachers' unions while opposing charter schools condemning poor children to continuing poverty, and worst of all, defending abortion in horrifically painful ways right up to the last hour even though one of three babies aborted in America is black, have all created an understanding that African Americans have been victimized by liberal policies for the last 6 decades. It is no surprise that the most vicious attacks, criticism, and downright nastiness has been farmed out to the Afro-American politicians who belong to the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party has gone into panic mode due to the real fear that they will lose control of their flock and African Americans will begin to assert their political independence and vote for the Republican Party in numbers unseen before in previous elections. President Trump understands that the Democratic Party in harmony with the mainstream media will keep trying to label the President and the Republican Party as "racists", but due to the impact of social media, and the Presidents direct communication line with the American public through his twitter account, the Democratic race baiting will backfire. The 2020 elections will be a watershed election that will most likely set the political tone for the coming decades. President Trumps 20/20 vision and ability to pass decisions and legislation that will benefit all Americans, will create a mass migration of voting patterns among American Jewry and African Americans towards the Republican Party. President Trump has imperfections like us all, but he is genuine, cares about America and Americans and is genuinely empathic, not beholden to anyone or any group. I am reminded of President Harry Truman's line about how to succeed in the White House: "You want a friend in Washington? Get a dog". President Trump will overcome the challenges and political minefields awaiting, his perseverance and ability to make inroads with traditional Democratic voters will create the change that we all are hoping for.

I hope the Neturei Karta and their followers take note. Don't be deceived. 

They, the Neturei Karta have an impressive on line presence. I would investigate their funding. Probably coming from Amalek, Iran. They have extensive misleading documentation of the anti Chareidi draft as if all Chareidi Jews  believe as Neturei Karta and want to partner with Iran against the State of Israel. For shame for convincing Jews that a weak Israel who can not defend itself properly is in Am Yisroel best interest. 

They forgot how Jews were humiliated in the Holocaust and throughout the ages when we did not have a State of our own and no means to defend ourselves.  

Yet these  Chareidim in this post who were attacked and humiliated were Chasdei Hashem not murdered and lived to tell their fellow Jews via Honenu exactly what transpired. Their conversion and empty words of support of Hamas are meaningless obviously as they were coerced and in fear of their lives. Their statements are clearly One Big Lie as the Arabs do all the time under Taqiyya. We can act similarly.

 If Hamas feels empowered by forcing religious Jews to "convert" to Islam and believe it is a sign of their strength, the opposite is true. The world understands that they are bullies who treat their own with tyranny and such acts only expose their own weakness and modus operandi.
