There are uncanny parallels between what is now happening to the Yazidi women to what happened to Jewish people by Muhammad the "prophet" February and March of 627 CE .
Let me clarify. These parallels are not coincidental. Muhammad's massacres and the taking of Jewish Sex Slaves seems to have set the precedent for the barbaric treatment of the Yazidi's today.
The fact that ISIS is targeting the Yazidi's population, now connects us Jews to Yazidis.
One clear bond between Yazidi's and Jews is that they honor sanctity of marriage and like Jews would choose death over being forced upon physically and/or religiously. They do not force their religion upon others.
Surely, one can conclude that if ISIS had the opportunity, they would not hesitate in the least, G-d forbid, to attack Jews, behead the men and enslave the women, no different than they are attacking Yazidis today and no different than in the times of Muhammad 1400 years ago..
It is therefore, not only a humanitarian gesture for Israel to help the Yazidis it is a matter of self preservation, and stopping ISIS before they reach Israel..

Muhammad's unprovoked, murderous attacks of Jewish tribes described above are acts of utter barbarity. His extermination and genocide of the whole community, such as that of Banu Qurayza, makes it worse.

Muhammad engaged in all these cruel, dehumanizing and horrible acts with the divine sanctions of Allah. Muhammad and his brainchild Allah were the worst evils to befall humankind, the detriment of which continues to afflict humanity with no end in site.

Rabbi Cooper, and Holocaust Research fellows, what is the point of a Holocaust Research Centers, if not to prevent another Holocaust as it is happening? Surely, it takes greater precedence over documenting the Holocausts of years gone by.

I serve on four committees in the U.S. Senate. They include:
Appropriations
The Senate Appropriations Committee role is defined by the U.S. Constitution, which requires "appropriations made by law" prior to the expenditure of any money from the Federal treasury. The Committee writes the legislation that allocates federal funds to the numerous government agencies, departments, and organizations on an annual basis.
Armed Services
The Committee on Armed Services has jurisdiction over all areas of national defense including the Department of Defense, the Department of the Army, the Department of the Navy, and the Department of the Air Force.
Budget
The Budget Committee is responsible for drafting Congress' annual budget plan and monitoring action on the federal budget. In addition, the Budget Committee has jurisdiction over the operation of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). The budget resolution prepared by the committee each year sets out a broad blueprint for total revenues and spending for the federal government. Authorizing and appropriations committees prepare legislation that enacts specific tax and spending policies.
Judiciary
The Committee on the Judiciary is responsible for overseeing the nominations process of all federal judges for the circuit and district courts as well as justices nominated to the Supreme Court. Other key areas of responsibility are immigration and naturalization, state and territory boundary lines and civil liberties. The Committee also oversees all federal courts, including civil and criminal courts. The Judiciary Committee has one of the broadest jurisdictions in the Senate, and covers areas ranging from criminal justice to antitrust and intellectual property law.

Even if not Jewish the Yazidi's can gain valuable therapeutic counseling insights as per how religious Jews deal with such issues (pregnancy and children from such relationships) and bring them back into the fold
