Rebuking out of Love - Prevent curses and tragedies.

bs"d

Let us rebuke Jews who are doing wrong against the Torah and against G-d's people. G-d rebukes the Jewish people out of love and concern for our collective welfare.  Perhaps if Jews observe the commandment of rebuking properly thereby preventing tragedy,  then we will save ourselves of the curses mentioned  in this week's Torah Reading Parshat Reah.

Bamidbar 35:31- 34

Velo Tachanifu...

You shall not bring guilt upon the Land that you are. for the blood will bring the guilt upon the Land ; The Land will not have atonement for the blood that was spilled in it, except throught the blood of the one who spilled it. You shall not contaminate the Land  in which you dwell  in whose midst I rest. for I am Hashem who rests among the Children of Israel.

As Adam, Netiv's brother  said, the blood of his brother is crying out from the earth.
Terror Victim's Family Calls for Death Penalty

(Israelnationalnews.com) Adam Nativ lost his younger brother Shlomo several months ago in a savage terrorist attack. On Tuesday, Adam appeared before a military court to demand the death penalty for Shlomo's killer.

Applying the death penalty in this case would have multiple benefits, Adam said. Not only would subjecting terrorist killers to the death penalty serve to deter others from carrying out similar attacks, he said, it would also remove the motivation for terrorist organizations to kidnap Israeli soldiers and civilians.....

Shabbat Shalom!
