Question for Lev L'Achim Flatbush Breakfast endorsed by 86 participating local Flatbush Shuls and Bungalow Colonies - Is Yehudah and Shomron merely Arab populated areas?

bs"d

Lev L'Achim has been perhaps the most successful organization when it come to fundraising in Flatbush. Brooklyn, NY . Each one of these shuls have one or more chairmen in charge of fundraising for Lev L'Achim. Advertising is comprehensive.  Personally, I saw promotion, 3 page glossy insert,  for this breakfast in The Vues (free advertising circular in Flatbush/Boro Park area)  plus we got an addressed glossy flier in the mail.  I am sure that was just a small example of the comprehensive promotion for this breakfast.

In addition to the local shuls in Flatbush, many of the Local Yeshivoth, including my children's Yeshivoth have exciting  Lev L'Achim Tzedakah drives whereby the children are awarded prizes, class pizza parties etc for those that collect substantial sums of monies,  Kids are motivated after a representative of Lev L"Achim comes to their school and talks to their classes. Children organize carnivals whereby the proceeds go to Lev L'Achim.  In my son's Yeshiva, the class will be receiving a free pizza party but only boys that have raised more than $10 will be able to participate in the pizza party.

On Purim, the high school boys get free limousines from Lev L'Achim and do their collecting in groups.  Lev L'Achim according to the promotion is the Movement of Gedolei Yisroel and in the past, pictures of around 30 Gedoilim are featured back cover on the promotion material.

Several years ago, a map of Eretz Yisroel was included in the glossy 22 page circular for Lev L'Achim..  On this map, Yehudah and Shomron was delineated with a different shade of green than the rest of Israel  and all the offices of Lev L'Achim were outside this shaded area.  In addition, this shaded area was labeled "Arab Populated Areas".  I went to their offices and voiced a complaint.  I asked them that aside from being the Biblical Heartland, Yehudah and Shomron have significant Jewish population centers from Hebron  upward to Yerushalyim and throughout the Shomron.   I inquired about their position regarding Gush Katif.  I was told that one of the Gedoilim was asked the same question and he replied in 3 words  "Nisht Inzere Sugia".

I was also told by a friend in Israel that her daughter and her friends were descouraged by outreach professionals of  Lev L'Achim not to do Sheirut Leumi because it might have an adverse affect on their frumkeit.

I know for a fact that Sheirut Leumi girls have been extremely helpful to the Yishuvim om Yehudah and the Shomron, helping in kindergartens, Yeshivot, social services etc. Is this where I want my Tzedaka monies to go?

So once again when I got a call from the Lev L'Achim office this pasts week inviting my husband to this breakfast on Sunday I expressed admiration on their fundraising efforts but brought up some serious questions I have regarding the silence of the Gedoilim regarding Yesha.

They put me on speaker in the office.  From my discussion of one of the organizers, I got the impression that Lev L'Achim follow Gedoilim who are of the opinion that ERetz Yisroel is not necessary in order to keep the Torah. When Eliyahu comes and announces Moshiach then we can plan on returning to EY. How can I say I know better than the Satmer Rebbe or Rabbi Avigdor Miller.  I was told  we've lived in Galus for 2000 years and anyway the Medina  hates Torah.  I asked them then how come Shas, UTJ and Likud are partners with the Medina in establishing a Palestinian State.

I was told  that we don't have Neviim in our time so we have no authorization to have sovereignty on Eretz Yisroel in our dayHe as.  I asked  him whether if someone would come to his house and tell him that he is occupying it and should leave whether he would say it's Gezera Min Shamayim and leave w/o protest.  He told me that he would show them the deed, the bank statements, the mortgage to prove that he has right ful inheritance.  I asked him "Do you believe that you have a Nachala in EY".  Isn't it true that if one is part of Bnei Yisroel and belongs to one of the Shevatim that Hashem has promised us a Nachala?  He couldn't deny that.  I asned so why aren't the Gedoilim telling the world that it is our entitlement, based on Hashem's  Covenant with the Avot, as an everlasting inheritance.  Why do we need a Navi to tell us that we have a Nachala  when it is pashut from the Torah?  Just look at the Chumash with a map that shows how the Land of Israel was divided among the Shevatim each receiving a Nachala besides Shevet Levi.

He asked why I live in Flatbush and not EY.  I replied, the Rambam had a residence in Egypt.  How come if the Torah says not to return to Mitzrayim?  THe answer is that it's not a permanant residence.  Eretz Yisroel is our permanent residence.  Egypt was  a temporary residence. for the Rambam and therefore it was permitted.

In Poland, Checkoslovakia etc, the Jews were thrown out of their homes with a deed and with mortgage statements.  Perhaps it was Hashem's way of saying that Eretz Yisroel is your true homeland and somehow Jews  didn't get it.  The religious Jew did not go en masse to ERetz Yisroel after the Balfour Declaration and the League of Nations gave us the green light.  Did we do our utmost Hishtadlus to claim our inheritance? Even without going on Aliya, at the very least we can publicly put a claim to our inheritance.

When we fail to do our Hishtadlus for our real and permanent homeland, Eretz Yisroel,  when the Nations of the world call us occupiers and all we can say, If we lose Eretz Yisroel, our nachala  it's a Gezera min Shamayim let us reflect if  would we react ini a similar manner if they say we have no rights to our homes in Flatbush chas Vechalila and simply say it's a Gezeira min Shamayim?   Would we ?

I would like to know who in the Israel gov't gave the authorization on this cruel Police activity against a religious Jewish family with 6 kids ages 1-12 whose only crime is their desire to settle and live in Judea and Samaria!  This can be definitely be classified as an "intolerable act".
Don't forget to take a look at the first Ben-David's house that was valued at 350,000 NIS.  http://www.inn.co.il/News/News.aspx/198660

The only illegal activity  in this unfolding of tragic and unfortunate events are these orders to destroy people's properties in a cruel and inhumane fashion. Those that are merciful to the cruel will be cruel to the merciful. This young family with 6 kids were not a bunch of terrorists who deserve to have their home destroyed.  They are scapegoats of a political process to intimidate Torah believers who insist on the Biblical Rights to settle the Land of Israel.  It is an act against G-d and the Torah.  It is an act that is clearly racist and self destructive to the Jewish people and to the world at large!

Fatah and Abbas honors suicide bombers and terrorists. http://israelbehindthenews.com/bin/content.cgi?ID=3853&q=1

Fatah is ideologically no different than Nazi Germany who honors those that murder innocent, defenseless Jews

The Mufti of Jerusalem, the Founding Father of modern Palestine was Hitler's partner Yemach Shemam. Can one make peace with the likes of Hitler Yemach Shemo?

Don't be deceived by Arab and/or leftist propaganda. The Palestinians find justification in engaging in an armed struggle against  Jewish occupation on this Earth not just the State of Israel!  Israel is convenient because it has Jews in a ghetto like setting with a large Jewish Population in a relatively small area.

Netanyahu must be either blind because of accepting bribes (Shochad Meaver Pikchim, bribery blinds the wise) is being blackmailed.

These three houses are a symbol of our struggle. Even one house would be.  If we sit by passively and allow this desecration to happen without protest then it will be a green light for further destruction of many homes G-d forbid in Judea and Samaria  and in aiding the establishment of a Nazi State.

Yes I am screaming. Come on, You can scream too! I'm mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

More Destruction of Houses in Neguhot -- Preparing to Rebuild For the Third Time

Dear Friends,

Sunday night, January 4th, at 1 a.m., police and Yassam forces entered
the community of Neguhot in the southern Hevron hills, and, like
thieves in the night, went to the "Beit Hakerem" hill and ordered the
Ben-David family to get dressed, and leave their home into the night
cold. Once again, bulldozers destroyed their house, rebuilt only a
month and a half after their original, beautiful home was destroyed.
Two other homes, built nearby in solidarity with the Ben-David's, were
also destroyed. Again, the families' household goods were scattered
along the hilltop. The houses themselves, constructed of fiberboard
panels, were turned into a muddy conglomerate.

Yehudit Ben David called us early in the morning. This is what she told us:

"At around 1:00 in the morning we heard loud knocks on the door.
"Police, open the door!!" they shouted. We opened the door and saw the
troops outside. "We came to destroy your house. Get dressed and get
out". Then they cut off the electricity and the entire house was in
the dark".Yehudit and her husband told the police that their six
children were sleeping and they needed some time to get organized and
wake up the children, etc. The policeman said: "I must come in and see
if you are not lying and really have children sleeping here". The
policeman came in with a flashlight and confirmed that there indeed
were six children sleeping there, aged one year old to 12 year old.
"Get them up and get out" he told the parents. Yehudit said: "but
there is no light. You cut off the electricity. We can't see a thing.
Can I at least get one of your flashlights? Each and every one of your
policemen have flashlights- give us one". The policeman refused.

"Somehow we managed to get the kids up" says Yehudit. "Meanwhile Arabs
who had been employed by the police , entered our house and started
taking out our possessions, simply throwing everything outside, on the
muddy floor -  the fridge, the matresses, the linens,  the books, the
clothes..." After that the bulldozer came and destroyed our house and
an additional two that belong to our neighbors.

"Luckily, on the nearby hill that is also part of Neguhot, where some
ten families live, there was an empty caravan, and we temporarily
moved in there, till we can rebuild our house on the "Bet Hakerem"
hill, for the third time. "The problem is", said Yehudit ben David,
that now the "Beit Hakerem hill" is empty and Arabs who come by foot
from their village, kilometers away, approach the hill and steal our
belongings. They grab whatever they can and walk back to their village
far away.We must find a way of priotecting the hill.

Women in Green immediately organized a group of young men to stand
guard at the hill and together we drove out to Neguhot. The scene of
the destruction was heartbreaking. Just a few days ago we had come
there to protest the fact that Arabs had thrown a molotov cocktail
against a bus, wounding an 18 year old girl. Instead of trying to
catch the Arab terrorists, Israeli security forces were busy planning
the destruction of the Ben David house.

Through the ugly stratagems of Defense Minister Barak and the
deafening silence of Prime Minister Netanyahu, the power of the state
continues to be mobilized against "enemies of the state" like the
Ben-David's and their neighbors, whose "crime" is their desire to make
their homes in the Land of Israel generally, and within the legal
boundaries of their community of Neguhot specifically.  They built
their homes in a designated new neighborhood of Neguhot to prevent
Arab squatters from expropriating their community's land, as is
happening throughout the Negev and the Galil along with Judea and
Samaria.

The spirit of these families won't be broken: they are ready to
rebuild their houses anew. We, secure for now in our nice, warm homes,
have to do our own mobilizing -- of ourselves -- to provide them with
the resources to rebuild their homes for the third time.

We call on all lovers of the Land of Israel to contribute to the
Yibane Fund, currently being established by Women In Green for
building and settlement in the hills of Judea.

While organizing the launching of this fund, the destruction in
Neguhot gave us an object lesson of the fund's purpose and necessity.

We can rebuild the houses destroyed in Neguhot within 10 to 14 days if
we can collect the funding. It will take 100,000 NIS (some $30,000)
to construct three new very basic structures.

The struggle over the future of the Land of Israel is being waged on
the hilltops of Judea and Samaria.

We, with God's help and with your help, will ignore all anti-Zionist
and anti-Jewish decrees and continue to build our Biblical homeland.

On the Case of Yesha Autonomy Part 2, Tikkun Chait Meraglim

bs"d

Lichvod Rabbanim and Chavrei Knesset, amv"sh

Please visit On the Case of Yesha Autonomy  Part 1

I am of the opinion that the purpose of our generation is  to be Metaken the Chait of the Miraglim.    It was the philosophy of the Spies in the Desert (the Miraglim) to continue in their lofty level of Ruchniyus, spirituality, living off of the Manna in the desert without entering the Land of Israel.   The concept of glorifying learning Torah without keeping the Mitzvoth Teluyot Baaretz seems to be in sync with the philosophy of the Miraglim in the desert.  According to this opinion, there is no need to serve in the army since learning Torah is all that is needed and Hashem will fight our battles. According to this philosophy,  Eretz Yisroel is not even necessary in order to observe Torah. It is the opinion of many Gedoilim of our generation that Mitzvoth Teluyot Baaretz are not obligatory but rather optional MItzvoth, Mitzvoth Reshus and not Chovah (obligatory), as has been the case for two  thousand  years. They encourage their students that going to War to defend the Land and working the Land are not necessary because Hashem will protect us and provide for us if we engage merely in Torah Study.

This seems to be the root of our problems. What follows are arguments refuting this ideology that sitting and learning Torah is sufficient and actually the preferred method of being the ultimate observant Torah Jew:

Why would Hashem give us commandments about having a Machaneh that is Kadosh if there is no need for a real army?   Why did Moshe Rabbeinu strongly rebuke the Tribes of Reuvein and Gad comparing them with the spies saying that by not going into the Land to help fight and conquer it since they were discouraging the rest of the Nation? http://www.chabad.org/parshah/article_cdo/aid/679195/jewish/Were-the-Tribes-of-Reuvain-and-Gad-Scared.htm

Even if according to the Ohr Hachaim these Tribes reasoned,  that G-d will fight Israel's battles and they weren't  needed to fight, Moshe made it clear to them that they must go to fight and indeed they did go, in the front lines.

Let us look at sources from Tanach which show that this passive approach is very wrong.

At Kriat Yam Suf the miracles only happened when they jumped in.  It wasn't only Nachshon that jumped. They all jumped up till their noses.

Didn't Moshe Rabbeinu actively lead the Jews into battle with Sichon and Og as an example of what they were supposed to do in Eretz Yisroel? Surely Hashem performed miracles for them but they did their hishtadlus.

Yehoshu conquered Yericho and the Nation as a whole did their Hishtadlus even though it was quite obvious that it was miracles that defeated the enemy.

Why is  Neviim Rishonim, Yehoshua, Shoftim etc. and Neviim Achronim a series of narratives rebuking the Israelites for not conquering the Land,  and rebuking them for not destroying  the inhabitants and idols and as a result the Pelishtim gained the upper hand and was a source of much suffering.  Please reread Shirat Devorah where she was quite specific in her praise for those that helped in battle and critical of those that didn't.

True Hashem fights our battles but we must do our Hishtadlus in order to be a vessel for G-ds miracles.  This means actively going to War and observing all the Mitzvoth for the soldiers that are applicable.

The concept of sitting and learning and not needing to work the Land seems to contradict the commandments of 6 years we work the Land and the seventh year we rest (the Sabbatical Year).  Sitting and learning seems appropriate for the Shemittah year but not for the other 6 years.   Isn't Yom Shekulo Shabbat and Gan Eden for Olam Haba after Moshiach comes and not for now? Perhaps it is appropriate for Shevet Levi or Yessachar but doesn't seem to be the way for the majority of the Jewish People. Of course there might be some exceptions. But if the entire nation is learning full time on off Shemittah years,  then how will the Nation get food? How will the Levites be supported?  How will the poor survive w/o Leket, Shikcha and Peeh? Surely, you will be the first to say that one  is not allowed to bring the Ketz prematurely. After 2,000 years we finally have Jewish Sovereignty.  That is miraculous, a dream come true as a result of decision made by the League of Nations.

Now the Torah demands that we have a Jewish army and keep the relevant Mitzvoth and we work the Land for 6 years and keep the Mitzvoth Teluyot Baaretz.  On the Shemittah year we rest.  Isn't Sefer Devarim also known as the Mishneh Torah, Moshe's direction of how to keep Torah in the Land.  Do all the Mitzvoth we read about on Hakhel serve no real purpose as is the case when we don't work the Land?

So how can we be Metaken the Chait Hamiraglim? This can done by Rabbinic and Public Jewish leaders remembering G-d's Covenant with the Jewish People, declaring Eretz Yisroel as  our entitlement from Hashem, and proudly declare like Calev ben Yefunah and Yehoshua bin Nun "Aloh Naaleh, Veyarosh Nirash Osah Ki Yachol Nuchal la".  It requires a willingness to fight and conquer the Land, removing all the idol worship, and establishing a Torah Sovereignty that only accepts non Jews who accept a Torah Sovereignty.

As The Case of Yesha Autonomy Part I suggests Let us start a public debate about a prototype Torah State in Yehudah and Shomron.   The establishment of the State of Israel had a serious flaw.  This flaw was the rejection of Torah.  The Medina in 1948 tried to erase religion as was clear with their treatment of the Yemenite population. Over the years the Medina did build up Yeshivoth etc. The flaw was masked.  However, now, the government is acting in ways that are anti Zionist, anti Torah and  self destructive.  This flaw has now turned into a crack.

Let us unite with authentic Torah leaders who might have rejected the State because of rejection of Torah in 1948 but have still the flame of hope and desire to establish a Torah government is burning strong.  Zeh Hashem Kivinu Lo, Nagila VeNismacha Biyeshuaso,

The "Peace Process" is the Hellinization of our generation. The Hellinists believed that Torah must conform to foreign influences.  They did not reject Torah outright, they merely diluted it with foreign ideas saying that the two can live side by side in peace and harmony. .

It seems therefore that intentionally or unintentionally, the Likud gov't,  Shas and UTJ are actual partners with the Hellenists of our time. The Hellenists are clearly the Left (Labor,  etc). The Peace Process is clearly an act of annulling the Torah.  Those that claim to observe Torah while at the same time sit passively while they join with a government that accepts the concept of a Palestinian State Chas veshalom, have been part of this modern day Hellinization process and have been actively engaging in violating many Mitzvoth D'Orayta.  Al Taamod al Dam Reiaacha (allowing terrorists to be freed, roadblocks dismantled etc), Gezela (destruction of property in Neguhot not to mention the destruction of homes in Gush Katif and the Shomron. ).  The list of Biblical violations go on and on....

Rather then ring our hands and say that there is nothing to do, we must take the cue from Yehudah Hamakabee with Mi LaHashem Eilai.

First, let all Rabbanim daven and prostrate themselves in Hebron by the Kivrei Tzadikim Avraham Yitzchok and Yaakov Avinu.

Let us call for an actualization of our Tefillot each and every day for a governing Authority based on Torah.

Let us challenge the Rabbanei Yesha  who are Anavim to take the Leadership role of Mi LaHashem Eilai and protest a Palestinian State and against an IDF that expels Jews.  I have great admiration for Rav Yinon Ilani  from Arad who stood his ground. He was not afraid to stand up to his colleagues publicly and withdraw his Yeshiva from Hesder in spite of loss of gov't stipends.

But when the Roshei Yeshivot are ambivalent and silent and there is a Chillul Hashem, then individual soldiers had no choice but to protest... Isn't it the JOB of each and every Hesder Rosh Yeshiva to PROTEST against the policies of the gov't and the IDF to enlist soldiers to expel Jews from YESHA?

The Roshei Yeshivot should declare that Torah is above the State Law and that soldiers are forbidden according to Torah to expel Jews.  In addition all Torah observant Jews should do whatever they can to build up Yehudah and Shomron  and protest quite vociferously any destruction of any home on any settlement and the dismantling of any roadblock within Eretz Yisroel Hashelima whose boundaries are delineated in Parshat Masei.

Today on Radio 10 on 95.1 in Brooklyn NY, a Rav was speaking about the time of Moshiach.  I wish I heard who the Rav was and who he was quoting.  He quoted a source that  said in the time of Moshiach , the Nationalist camp will have a stronger  Tikkun of the Nefesh.  This camp which represents the Nefesh of Am Yisroel will desire a Zionist State and aspires for  Eretz Yisroel to be a leader among the Nations. However the Chareidi camp, those not Zionistic will have a stronger Tikkun on the Ruach  with Yirei Hashem and observing the Torah. They will be successful in bringing back Hamonei Am, multitudes of unobservant Jews back to Torah and Mitzvoth.  This indeed is the reality of our generation.

Moshiach will come and unite the 2 camps.  The Nationalist will learn from the Chareidim to observe Torah Properly with sanctity and the Chareidim will learn from the Nationalist about Jewish Pride and being Holy KIngdom among Nations.

If anyone can elaborate on these thoughts and provide sources, please email me.

This will be posted on Shemittahrediscovered.blogspot.com

On the case of Yesha Autonomy, Part 1. Build UP an Independent Judea and Samaria!

bs"d

Dear Knesset Members and Roshei Yeshivot, amv"'sh

Yasher Koach!

Thank you for your letters to Netanyanu to build up Judea and Samaria.

Let me suggest a novel approach which initially might be met with resistance but upon reflection makes a lot of sense.

I am referring to a public debate about establishing a legitimate new Yesha Autonomy, a prototype government in Judea and Samaria based on Torah.  Surely such a novel idea can not be implemented on a large scale initially. That is why, in this writers opinion, it is not practical or advisable to implement the dream of Jews for generations on the entire State when there are many afraid of this concept who will sabotage any efforts in this direction.  Many roadblocks will be encountered and it takes a motivated population to work out the bugs.

Anavim Anavim Higea Hazman Legeulascham, Veim Ein Atem Maaminim, Reu ki Ohr Zoreach.

Whether or not the State of Israel chooses to abandon the residents of Judea and Samaria and especially when it does choose to abandon them and chooses not to protect them it appears that the time has come to speak about an independent Yesha Authority that is a sister to the State of Israel. This public debate takes on an added urgency when  Fayyad's plan is embraced by the State Dept. and several European governments to unilaterally declare Palestinian independence in Judea, Samaria and Gaza and Jerusalem in 2 years (as reported by Caroline Glick).

It would be our hope and dream that this Yesha Autonomy will govern using Torah as it's guide and will have Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches as well as a militia to defend itself against all aggression be it Kassam and Yassam. That is the the basic idea and the details will need to be brainstormed and worked out by Torah Scholars, Political Theorists, Economists and those that are well researched in Hebraic Law and Mishpat Ivri.

Surely this Yesha autonomy will be a much friendlier neighbor to the State of Israel than an autonomous Palestinian Authority who wishes the destruction of the Jewish State and glorifies suicide bombers by naming their schools after Shahids.   Surely they won't make murderers of innocent Jews who happen to be Torah teachers of little children into heroes and martyrs and surely they won't condemn Israel's right to self defense.  Surely they won't create a War Zone to bombard Israel as what happened when we gave away Gush Katif.  They will simply continue to be model communities living in Judea and Samaria that live their lives based on the observance of Torah and Mitzvoth

The residents of Judea and Samaria have suffered from intolerable acts long enough!  Either they receive their full rights and entitlements as members of the Jewish faith who rightfully are living in their homeland or they separate from those that have taken measures to take away their property, their communities and their freedom to live and grow and  practice their religion in peace and security.

As Knesset members, and as Rabbinic Leaders, together with Jews from around the world we must unite to  legitimize Jewish entitlement to Judea and Samaria at any cost.  This is  for the benefit of not only the Jewish people and the Jewish State but also to the entire world.  This must happen even if it means separating from the State of Israel especially as long as the State of Israel is acting as a puppet to foreign forces and acting in a self destructive manner.

More ideas regarding this novel approach are forthcoming and all those that wish to contribute are most welcome.

This will be posted on shemittahrediscovered.blogspot.com

Shabbat Shalom to those of us in Chutz LeAretz and Shavua Tov to those of us in Eretz Yisroel.

CRIMINALS: THEY BLEW SHOFARS IN JERUSALEM
Important court case! About 3 years ago, Israeli police attacked shofar blowers at the Kotel HaMa'aravi HaKatan on Rosh HaShana. This Holy Place is not yet officially recognized. Now the matter is finally being discussed in court! The Jews who prayed and the police who attacked them will  now testify. Not only is the welfare of those who pray at stake here. The honor of the Jewish People and the status of one of our holy places is at stake. This Sunday, Jan 3, 11 am - 3 pm, in the Beit Mishpat Hashalom of Jerusalem in the Russian Compound Your presence can make a difference! Call 0527203937  to make sure there is no last minute change in the judge's scheduling of the case.
