Let us ask ourselves.  Why in heavens name did the gov't of Israel throw these people out of a home that was built with such love. How often can we find such open love between husband and wife, love of the land, a sense of pride and accomplishment in building with ones own hand where there was nothing there but desert and barren land. What a work of love.   A farm.  Children, Goats and chickens, Trees and plants in the desert, eggs and milk. Who knows what else.   A tent.  What an amazing role model these people are for us and our children!!! A family that lives with peace with their Arab neighbors. No trouble whatsoever.  Occasionally they sit and drink a cup of coffee together.  And we callously destroyed it all?  For what reason? Each time the excuse changes.  Just so that the piece of Land should be free of Jews????? Are we insane?  How can't we see the beauty of this home? It is just so painful to see young men given orders to physically tear little children away from their mother and seeing their father carried away, shackled in handcuffs like a violent criminal and then bear witness of destruction of hours and hours of a labor of love.  Who are the victims?  Not just the family that lived here.  True they lost all their possessions.  They have no home.  Years of labor destroyed within minutes.  They know that the life they led was good and how they lived their life was right and they have no regrets. They will rebuild. 


What about those they came to throw them out? What will be with these young soldiers? How will they think of themselves after they go home?  How will they face their wives? How will they face their kids? How will they look in the mirror and face themselves.  How will they be able to go into their kids bedrooms and tuck their child   knowing that there is a family who once had a very happy home and he helped destroy it for no reason.    I think I feel more sorry for these soldiers then for the family they just expelled. How can they justify their actions.  The wound in the soldiers heart will fester and his human soul will cry for the senseless pain he inflicted upon those who are innocent.

This special day marks the modern miracle called "The Six Day War" in which many areas of our holy land were liberated and returned to their  rightful owners. Places like Hebron, Shechem, Bet El, Kever Rachel, Shilo, the Jordan Valley and all of the Golan Heights were taken away from the enemies of Hashem and returned to the Tribes of Israel. As a matter of fact, if you write down the name of every place in Israel mentioned in the Bible, an astonishing 93% of them were redeemed during that miraculous war! I hope you absorbed what I just wrote: 93% of the places mentioned in TaNaCH, the places we read about in the weekly parsha and haftora, the places where our greatest prophets and leaders are resting, the places where historic battles took place and where promises were made by Hashem to our people – 93% of these very places were imprisoned and held captive. Force yourself to watch it so that you will fight the evil and stop it from repeating itself....

In Judaism there is a concept of Mida Keneged Mida.  Measure for Measure. As a person acts towards his fellow man, so to speak, G-D acts towards him ...

"Price Tag" revenge is a nasty way to preempt and distort the concept of Mida Keneged Mida, measure for measure.  Price Tag accusations are often fabricated lies, unsubstantiated,  go on the offensive to incriminate the victim so the victim has no chance to defend themselves and receive true justice. 

The Dati Leumi Camp, the Nationalist camp,  the global family so to speak of Ma'ale Rechavam is silent, and the settlers at Ma'ale Rechavam and Yeshiva Od Yosef Chai have no one to defend them.  Just a bunch of individuals like myself.  Everyone else is worried about their livelihood for good reason.  (side note: Here is where Shemittah makes a difference. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/3743#.U4b1DPldXa0  ) So the best and the finest that Israel have to offer, living in Ma'ale Rechavam,  become a target and scapegoat.  

Since Ma'ale Rechavam was destroyed by the Israeli government, will Hashem exact Mida Kineged Mida in the future Chas Veshalom, upon homes and communities in Hebron and the Shomron who did not come to their aid and was silent and then against Israel itself the perpetrators of this immoral act and then against America for pressuring Israel to commit this offense against their very own?

Father of one of the Americans, Charles Woods,  who was murdered in Benghazi, Libya  explained that he never calls talk shows, but was upset over news he had heard and just decided to call the Lars Larson Show.  He talked about his son, Tyrone Woods, who voluntarily sacrificed his life and was killed along with Ambassador Chris Stevens and two other Americans who were trying to save the life of the Ambassador.


 "It's not a matter of honoring him or being mad." he said.  "Something fishy is happening. We need to make sure this doesn't happen again." Tyrone Woods, risked his life to rescue Chris Stevens. ...."The truth needs to be out so that something like this doesn't happen again. Someone had to say "Don't rescue him.  We need to know who gave the command don't rescue him". We need to know who gave the orders not to protect the military there because the military wanted to. "

And there are many of us who want to know "Who gave the orders to destroy Ma'ale Rechavam?"  and what will we do so that this does not happen again to more settlements in our Biblical Homeland in Judea and Samaria?

Because Am Yisroel and Hashem is One, if any part of Am Yisroel is unhealthy (in a spiritual way because of sin), by extension the sin affects all of us. Like a part of the body that is sick (like a finger), it affects the person. What will we accomplish if we amputate the diseased limb. We will lose the use of that limb. 

We of course can convince ourselves that the limb isn't all that important since after all we have Baruch Hashem so many healthy limbs and we should focus only on the healthy limbs that we have. 

Or....  If we internalize the concept of Areivus (Being a guarantor for our fellow Jew) we understand that once the Israelites entered Eretz Yisroel, they were Areivim, guarantors of their fellow Jew and accountable.  A sin of a fellow Jew affected the Klal, the community, and the Klal is punished collectively for the sin of the Yachid, the individual. 

So how can we compensate for the loss of a limb that is not working properly? 

Areivim as we mentioned above means guarantor. Why do we need guarantors? If someone is negligent and doesn't pay back that which he owes, others, his guarantors, then are responsible to pay back the loan. That is the obligation of the Areiv, the guarantor.

If a Jew sins, it some way takes away from the merit of the whole. If a Jew does a Mitzvah, it adds to the merit of the whole.  In the case where an individual sins, if others understand that they are Areivim, guarantor,  this means they need to better their own performance of the Mitzva in order to pay off the negative balance of their brother who for whatever reason came short in doing his/her fair share. So therefore,  one who thinks of himself as an Areiv can for example, make a deal with Hashem and say 

"Usually Hashem, I am not so careful with putting on Tefillin with the utmost Kavana, concentration. Hashem, today I am putting on Tefillin and saying each and every word in the Bracha very carefully and will read and concentrate on the reading of each and every Parsha, Torah portion, that is written in the Tefillin and I have in mind it is a zechus, a merit,  for Ploni ben Almoni, my brother, my friend or my son who unfortunately for whatever reasons is not putting Tefillin and Hashem, I want you to please put the extra merit of my efforts into his bank account, to settle the books so to speak, so he is in the clear." 

Know that the next time the Areiv, the guarantor, meets Ploni, he will have love in his heart. He will not think of Ploni as someone who is taking him away from Torah and Mitzvoth but someone who is bringing him closer to Hashem, more than any other Rebbe he had. The love of the Areiv's heart will flow and he will pray and ask Hashem to please have Rachmanus, have mercy on Ploni because he is the reason the Areiv has become more ehrlich, a better and more sincere Jew. Those tears of love for one's brother will reach the Kisei Hakovod, G-d's throne up in Heaven,  who will then reevaluate the situation. 

True Ploni sinned and deserved the consequences. Yet, the decree is now being reevaluated because Ploni is being Mezakeh, causing merit for others. Ploni on his own, is probably incapable of stopping himself from sinning. However, if he is helped from Above in Heavenly Court, anything is possible. Hashem can turn his zedonos, his purposeful sins,  to zechuyos, merits,  via his brothers who are depositing into his bank account. Imagine if there are many Guarantors and Ploni's bank account keeps earning money.  It's a win win situation for all!

This we daven, pray, will surely be the catalyst for Hashem to perhaps take away the stumbling blocks that is stopping Ploni from keeping Torah and Mitzvoth and give him understanding of why his actions are wrong and instill a fear of Hashem and a love and desire to do what is right and good in the eyes of Hashem and surely, collectively, we become a healthier and stronger whole. In fact we never even thought that we had been weak but now that we are so much stronger we can thank Ploni for helping us become stronger than we ever thought possible. 

Written on and in honor of Yom Chevron the 29th day of Iyar when Chevron was liberated in the 1967 the Six Day War. May Hashem help us to join all as One in order to make His Name Great!

Vayikra 26 Pasuk (42) "Vezacharti as Brisi Yaakov, Veaf as Brisi Yitzchok, Veaf es Brisi Avraham Ezkor, Vehaaretz Ezkor". I will remember My Covenant with Jacob and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember, and I will remember the Land. 
What was the covenant promised individually to each of our Forefathers? The Covenant of Yaakov is in Breishis Perek 28 Pasukim 13-16. The Covenant to Yitzchok is Breishis Perek 26 Pesukim 2-6. The Covenant with Avraham is Breishis Perek 15 Pesukim 18-21. The Covenants and promises to the forefathers share three points. 1. Land is promised to them and to their children afterwards 2. The Nations of the world are blessed through them and 3. the children must keep the commandments in order to be worthy of the Land.

My comments:Bad enough the Pope is talking about a Palestinian State. It's about time we cut our losses while we still can and we are still like the Lion King before Scar took over. 

Robin's Final Comments In reading all the comments of the Pope that he made to the Palestinians and to Israeli's I think that the analysis of Rabbi Boteach hit it on the nose.  The Pope does not want to confront evil even when it is staring him in the face. Childlike Naivite.  Deep in his heart only G-d knows what he feels. I would like to believe as does Naftali Bennett that his eyes are Kind.  I would like to believe that he was sincere in trying to give over a message of peace to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem known for his views that Jews are destined to be exterminated by Arabs  "May no one abuse the name of God through violence! May we work together for justice and peace! Salaam!" 

 How clueless can he be about the fact that a substantial percentage of the Christian population fled Bethleham and the widespread reports of Muslim Violence against Christians under Islam.

Letter from Eliezer re: Israel Police in Hysteria over the Pope's Visit

Hi Robin,
Sorry if I've been harassing you with updates for your newsletter but there have been a lot of developments in Israel recently and I think there is stuff that is of interest to your readers. Israeli police have been in hysteria over the pope's upcoming visit. 
1. Six teenagers, 4 of them minors, were arrested by the Israeli GSS and prevented from meeting with lawyers. One has already been released as he gave an alibi and there was no evidence against him. Moshe Feiglin also came out against these arrests. We hope the others will be released soon.
2. The police have handed out several administrative orders subjecting Jews to house arrest or other restrictions during the Pope's visit. 
3. I myself was confronted by Israeli Shabak (General Security Services) and told that I am "a second before commiting a crime." Their main point was that I am hanging out with "dangerous people" mainly children who live on hilltops and yeshiva students who learn in Yitzhar. I made a video through the Hakol Hayehudi news site in English about the incident.

In the desert and in the middle of nowhere,   Adam and Jenny built their tent.  They sought peace and loved the land and they built a beautiful place where they lived together with their four children . But what happens when one day the Israeli government decides to attack and destroy it all as part of a trend  to twist the arms of  women holding babies and to tear the baby from her hands and with Police and Yassam soldiers beating women.


The place was founded in Tishrei 5762, 2001. A group of singles, organized with the goal to establish a new community in the country based on Jewish labor , cooperation between religious and secular and living without a fence.

The settlement is located on the border between the Judean Desert and the Judean Hills, and belongs to the Gush Etzion Regional Council . The outpost is on the outline of the settlement of Kfar Eldad , near Nokdim, around one kilometer away. The settlement commemorates Rechamam Zeevi, hy"d, a supporter of Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria who was murdered by an Arab from the Palestinian Authority.  Established in 2001, the settlement was designated as illegal and  was issued demolition orders several times, but early on, the settlement did receive a government grant of NIS 750,000 which via political connections would bring it for approval. These contacts are still continuing until today..

The community is based on three principles: No fence, Jewish Labor known as Avoda Ivri, and cooperation between religious - secular. Singles and families living together . There resides 12 families and 4 singles . Total population about 45 people. Nearby, a stream that empties into the community of Tekoa, a big autumn  crocuses blossom was discovered, with an estimate of 100,000 to 200,000 flowers. This blossoming at this site  begins around November 10th and continues until early December

In 2011, the state issued its intention to the Supreme Court to legalize the settlement.

At the beginning of 2013 the Supreme Court issued a " temporary order prohibiting  eviction and demolition of the outpost ." In May 2014 , following a further decision of the High Court, the Civil Administration demolished eight structures acting upon the State's position that the community is built on land owned by Palestinians. The Rehoboam community  has had very significant natural growth, Within the last ten months, six new babies were born. 
Apparently not an impressive number , but more careful examination of the data reveals that where only 11 families live, and that this natural growth is not less than 15 percent. What is no less interesting  is that five of the six babies were born at home.

Ma'ale Rechavam tries to maintain a lifestyle that is "as healthy as possibl ", as defined by local resident Genia Richland  who lives with her husband and three children in a tent at the edge of town . Richland gave birth to her daughter,  ten months ago ,a home birth , or rather - the birth of a tent. "For me, the hospital is a place that is always pressured,  and for my births, I want just the opposite - peace and quiet ," she explains .

המקום הוקם בתשרי, תשס"ב, 2001.  קבוצת רווקים התארגנה ושמה לה למטרה להקים ישוב חדש בארץ המושתת על עבודה עברית, שיתוף בין דתיים וחילונים ומגורים בלי גדר.
הישוב נמצא על הגבול בין מדבר יהודה להרי יהודה, ושייך למועצה אזורית גוש עציון. המאחז נמצא בקו המתאר של היישוב כפר אלדד, שבקרבת נוקדים, ונמצא בסמוך לו, במרחק של כקילומטר אחד. היישוב מנציח את שמו של רחבעם זאבי שהיה מתומכי ההתיישבות היהודית ביהודה ושומרון ונרצח על ידי מתנקש ערבי מהרשות. הוקם ב-2001.
היישוב מוגדר כ"מאחז בלתי חוקי", והוצאו כמה פעמים צווי הריסה, אולם בתחילת דרכו הוא קיבל מענק ממשלתי של 750,000 שקל והיו מגעים להביא אותו לאישור, מגעים שנמשכים עד היום.

היישוב ומבוסס על 3 עקרונות: אין גדר, עבודה עברית בלבד ושילוב של דתיים-חילונים, רווקים ומשפחות החיים בצוותא. מתגוררות בו 12 משפחות ו-4 רווקים. סך התושבים כ-45 איש. סמוך ליישוב, באחד האפיקים היורד לנחל תקוע, התגלה אתר פריחת החלמוניות הגדול בארץ, המונה לפי ההערכה בין 100,000 ל-200,000 פרחים. הפריחה באתר זה מתחילה בסביבות ה-10 בנובמבר ונמשכת עד ראשית דצמבר.

ב2011 הודיעה המדינה לבג"ץ שבכוונתה להכשיר את המאחז ליישוב חוקי.

בתחילת 2013 הוציא בג"צ "צו ארעי האוסר לבצע פעולות פינוי והריסה במאחז". במאי 2014, בעקבות החלטה נוספת של בג"צ, הרס המנהל האזרחי שמונה מבנים במאחז שלפי עמדת המדינה הוקמו על קרקע בבעלות פלסטינים.‏



בישוב מעלה רחבעם גידול טבעי מאוד משמעותי תוך עשרה חודשים נולדו ביישוב שישה תינוקות חדשים. 
לכאורה, לא מספר מרשים, אבל עיון מעמיק יותר בנתוני המקום מגלה שמתגוררות בו רק 11 משפחות וכי מדובר ב"גידול טבעי" של לא פחות מ-15 אחוז . ומה שלא פחות מעניין - חמישה מתוך ששת התינוקות נולדו בבית. 

במאחז משתדלים לקיים אורח חיים "בריא ככל האפשר", כפי שמגדירה זאת תושבת המקום ג'ניה ריצ' לנד, המתגוררת עם בעלה ושלושת ילדיהם באוהל שבקצה היישוב. ריצ' לנד ילדה את בתה, פלא, לפני כעשרה חודשים, בלידת בית, או נכון יותר - בלידת אוהל. "בשבילי בית חולים זה מקום שתמיד צועקים בו והכל לחוץ, ובלידות שלי אני רוצה בדיוק את ההפך - שקט ושלווה", היא מסבירה.
